Hi We arrived with 38' cutter Christina Grant at 04:30 after a direct passage from Nova Scotia, hoping to purchase fuel, clear Customs and continue on with least delay. We did purchase $150 in fuel and were moved off the fuel dock to another berth to await Customs. We were finally advised that Customs will not come to Sandwich and told to go to a port of entry on Buzzards Bay, but by then the current in the Canal was adverse so we could not proceed. We finally got underway at 12:30 but, having been in the marina for more than 4 hours, were charged an additional $108 in dockage fees. Overall it was a short but very expensive visit. Staff were friendly and showers clean. I would not stop here again in the future unless it were unavoidable.
