Bay Palms Waterfront Resort – Hotel and Marina is an award winning boutique resort of only 15 rooms and 9 Marina slips located directly on Boca Ciega Bay. Bay Palms boasts one of the largest privately owned fishing piers in St. Petersburg (1500 square feet!) where you can fish, dock your vessel, and meet Florida’s sea creatures like manatees or dolphins! Bay Palms is also pet friendly, meaning that you can bring the entire family for a vacation you’ll remember for a lifetime.
With a beautiful pool overlooking the Boca Ciega Bay, the Bay Palms Waterfront Resort is the best destination for relaxation; and best of all, Bay Palms is only 200 feet from the beach. After a fresh renovation just last year, The Bay Palms is sure to wow you with clean spacious rooms with kitchenettes, and separate bedrooms. We’ve also installed a brand new dock on the water with beautiful lights for a great spot to unwind day or night.
Try us and see why so many people come back year after year.
Voted Best Marina on St Pete Beach, we are proud to be a 3-star resort and members of the Superior Small Lodging Association, Florida Green Lodging, and are Approved by AAA for Quality and Standards.
Helpful Tip: Hug right when pulling in the canal all the way into the marina.
We do not have onsite restrooms however there are restrooms within 100 yards from the marina. We do have outdoor uncovered showers for use. We have no restaurant on property but there are 20 restaurants walking distance from the marina. Parking is available offsite for an additional fee. Please call (727)367-2791 for any questions you may have. It will be our pleasure to help you.
No bathrooms. No showers detract from the value of this facility!
Very nice people, Slips are small. No bathrooms or showers, but had laundry and a happy hour with free beer and wine ($10/each for the 4 nights), plus beach access and heated pool.
No bathrooms No shower No one to help land Have to pay to use the pool Long way in very shallow Close to beautiful beach Would Not recommend Disappointed
Great place, close to good restaurants, pharmacy, laundry and pool onsite, shallow to get there so hug the shore
Dock pilings and cleats were new with plenty of vertical bumper strip. Enough water depth at low tide, however we pulled in and were glad we did. Our spot against the smaller deck (north) was out of the water against the sea wall. The decks were very nice with chairs, covered tables, and charcoal grills. The power pedestals and water access was sufficient with some stations having hoses already attached, which we used each afternoon to rinse salt spray off. Small pool and property cleanliness was average. Would have been nice to have a bathroom by the pool/deck. My biggest complaint would be the fishing off the dock fingers and seawall. The two huge decks have tons of footage to fish off the front of, yet people still want to be right on top of you. Had people walking down the already narrow dock fingers to toss there bait under my boat and casting over my motor. Even had one guy push my boat off the pilings with the slack in ropes so he could get between. Snagged my dock line when retrieving his bait. Staff is non-existent in evenings to control this, as they are all at main hotel across the street. You also have guests on the decks all night. Not quiet at all if that’s what you are looking for.
Moment of Zen, a 36-foot by 15-foot powercat, thoroughly enjoyed a four-day stay at Bayview Plaza during March 2022. The only reason for the four stars rather than five is that although good solid padded pilings were recently added to the nice long finger piers, the distance from the boat to the piers themselves required a ramp. I was told the wood on the finger piers would soon be replaced, so the hope is that they will be reconstructed to overcome the new gap. Otherwise, it was a delightful stay. Easy walk to the beach across the street. Restaurants, drug store and Public are an easy walk. Nearby neighborhoods offer good and low-traffic dog-walking. The location is very well-protected at the end of Big McPherson bayou. When entering from the ICW on lower Boca Ciega Bay, be sure to hug the starboard shoreline carefully. If heading north, don't turn west toward the entrance until you reach half-way between the bridge and red "26." Then trace the shoreline back and inside to find plenty of find plenty of water. The easiest way to see the course is to use Navionics sonar charts.
The Bayview Marina facilities were great! It is small and affiliated with 3 boutique hotels that offer all their amenities for a mere $10. We were stern in and had a great view of the pool area. Our boat is 44 feet with a draft of 3.5 feet and a beam of 14 feet but we had no trouble getting in...you just need to pay attention in McPherson's Bayou and hug the starboard shore on your way in. Unlike other marinas we have known, the internet is blazing fast. Shore power and water are good and well situated. The beach is just across the street and stores and restaurants abound! Sheldon. who is in charge of the marina, was very accommodating and friendly. Visitor parking is not available (at least not in high season). We have decided to extend our stay another night and will definitely be back!
The docks need upgrading, metal poles should be replaced that are located on the outside of the finger piers. With the tides it is difficult to keep fenders 100% protecting the hull of the boat, which the metal scuffs the side. As much and as often we adjusted, it was scary dockage with the metal posts. Otherwise the area was beautiful and well kept.
Great little getaway spot.
Marina is spotless!!! Excellent location. Definitely recommend.
A little tricky to get into with our 47 Ft boat. Dock is serviceable but it’s a nice long dock. Be sure to bow in and check Active Captain for navigating in this Bayou. Great location!
