Conveniently located next to the St. Lucie Inlet on the Indian River in Stuart, FL, the Hutchinson Island Marina is the ultimate destination for fishermen, beach lovers, and cruisers alike. The marina has 80 slips and offers all the resort amenities to boaters; including the pool and bar, golf course, tennis courts, ship store, restaurant, and fitness center. The Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort offers a calm, relaxing environment with miles of clean and accessible beaches.
The marina is under construction and will remain closed from taking guest reservations until complete.
Dock master was very helpful in tieing lines. Docks are fixed cement and dock master makes sure boat will not hit docks. Awesome seevice and resort is beautiful. 3 pools, restaurants and short walk to Publix
Helpful dock masters, trash cans at your slip.
As with so many good experiences it comes down to the people. The marina staff were wonderful. They were friendly, accommodating, helpful land knowledgeable. The marina is pretty open to a southerly blow. Just be aware and ask for guidance from the dockmaster. He’ll let you know what kind of challenge you may or may not encounter.
We had a great stay at this marina. We took advantage of the Marriott amenities. They have a short shuttle ride to the beach which also has a pool and tiki bar at beach access point. The Dockmaster was great. We are considering this location for a six month winter stay this coming November. Thanks for a great visit.
The crew was not only friendly, but also extremely personable, helpful, and funny :) They were patient with all our questions, clear with communicating answers, and accommodating when possible. Most importantly, they showed true concern for the wellbeing of all the boaters in the area. We will absolutely be back!
Great dock staff. Very knowledgable and attentive. Had some wind and the crew was on there game making sure bumpers and lines were just right! Will be back!!
Dock hands were amazing food and F&B manager not so good!
Very helpful when arriving. Easy to navigate to. Was only there for 1 night but being part of the Marriott was helpful for amenities.
Docking was a breeze. Thanks to Valarie the Dock Master and her staff Anna and Richard. It is always a good feeling to know that you will be greeted by competent helpful and friendly dock crew. They made our stay at the Hutchinson Marriott Marina a very memorable one. Looking forward to returning.
It was very hard to tie up with the wind, tide and waves. The resort was very run down.
The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Having the resort amenities was great and there was a Publix less than a 10 minute walk away.
Val was a huge help on arrival! And we enjoyed the tiki bar restaurant & pool! But beach lady was not nice or helpful. No towels and didn’t get us any. Didn’t let us sit on chairs that were empty for over 2 hours while we sat on sand!
I was completely underwhelmed by the whole marina situation! We had reservations and therefore should have had a specific spot for our boat to be docked. If there were no spots for it than the reservation should not have been taken. My husband was told to park the boat next to the rental boat area. Huge mistake! He didn’t feel right about it because he was worried about inexperienced boaters. We went out to move our boat and before we could get in, there was a rental boat coming in. They hit our boat of course and scratched up the paint on the side. Thank goodness it didn’t do more damage because the guy panicked and floored the boat. The marina was extremely choppy and not very protected. Our boat kept hitting up against the CONCRETE dock. Needless to say, we will be doing unplanned patchwork and painting to the boat after two days! Definitely not worth the risk and would never put the boat there again. We have a 27’ Conch. Bigger boats might fair well there, unfortunately we did not. We could not get into our room until 4 pm which is really late in my opinion. We dropped the boat at the marina at 1 and then wandered around until the texted at 4. Felt like a wasted day. If you stay at the main hotel, you will take a shuttle to the beach. The resort is really spread out on the land. The pool bar restaurant area is nice to sit with the kids and relax. Overall it is ok. Probably would pick a different place next time. With a late check in and early check out, it cuts into your overall time at the resort.
We were not placed in an actual slip just along the dock where the boat rubbed and smashed into the dock all night. Even with our bumpers in place. Also no one was available to help bring the luggage out to the boat and none of the dock carts were anywhere in sight. Very poorly run Marina
Excellent dock staff, easy access and good facilities, however is exposed to wakes and weather.
Great area and pool. Docks are fixed and not easy to board/inboard for transients- but it’s clean with nice and helpful staff.
You can always expect something nice from Marriott. Very nice resort with beach, tiki bars and pools. Unfortunately the main restaurant was not open due to Covid. Marina staff was friendly and helpful. I rated it at only 4 stars because the slips were a bit rocky in a north or south wind. Not good wave attenuation. Good for a short stay.
General facilities are good. Having the resort is great. Would be nice if they had a pump out, shower facilities, etc. our first stay here was not great but we have been back twice since and the staff has gone out of their way to make it a great experience.
Great location with terrific people. There is some exposure to wakes from ICW, but it is rarely troubling. Docks are short, fixed concrete which necessitates lassoing as you back in. Not bad if it is your permanent slip, but a pain for transients. Don't be on the south side of the south dock, because that is very exposed and you are on the wrong side of the breakwater. No mobile or in slip pump-out. Trash bins at every slip which is terrific!
Great place! Golf, swimming pools, Tiki bar, tennis. What's not to like!!
The dockmaster was great. The woman at the front desk not so much.
nice time but very empty marina for a holiday weekend.
Dock master very helpful. Great amenities (on site restaurants, pools, convenient walk to Publix groceries and liquor, tram service [golf carts/not van] to beach, exec golf course, etc.). Historically dog friendly beach and outdoor restaurants. Now dogs excluded from outdoor grill at beach. Management needs to re-think this policy. Indian River Plantation/Marriott Resort is our favorite get-away for cruising.
We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Marina. The pool was a welcome treat, and we had numerous delicious meals at the poolside restaurant.
great location. close to public boat ramp. marina offers trailer parking.
Good clean Marina with plenty of room. Hotel Marriott at same Property needs updating and additional staffing. Service is very slow and housekeeping is lacking the staff to get job done in a reasonable time.
Every evening had someone different parked in our assigned slip, ended up parking in any open slips ( probably someone else's assigned slip) makes it difficult to get your lines set up for return. No one there to correct problem.
Our stay was wonderful. Giovanni at the front deck is fabulous. Valorie the dock master is also great. We liked having the bikes available so we could bike to the grocery store and the beach. We are on a boat and didn’t have a car. I would give you five stars.
The Marriott amenities were great and the marina staff were excellent. However the marina is not shielded from the day to day water turbulence. The constant slapping of water against our hull was very annoying.
Richard Noonan Dock Master made our stay perfect.Wonderful place to stay. We’ll be back.
About one of the worst services encountered in many years of sailing! We have sailed from LA to Annapolis, extensively North Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea but never encountered such high prices with such a lack of service. Well before his shift end, we had tied to the fuel dock for the night and wanted to get fuel. The dock master did not want to do it then and promised to do it at 7 am as we wanted to leave early. We waited till 7:30 am but no dock master, nobody answering the phones or VHF nor an apology from the General Manager, we spoke to. We advise everyone to stay away from this marina and we will spread the word around.
Richard gets a five star rating. He was most helpful in docking assisting me in heavy crosswinds necessary due to my wife’s recent hip replacement preventing gopher to perform her normal docking duties. He repeated his five star help when we departed. In all, our stay in all respects was also five star.
Bathroom are very olds For the men 1 showers on 2 was broken
No one answered the VHF. No one was at the dock to take the lines. Never saw anyone who worked for the marina but was only there overnight.
