Mala Wharf is a beautiful park like setting with running water, rinse and shower areas, boat launch, boat storage directly adjacent and even an expansive nudie beach. The boat launch area sometimes fills with dirt and debris from the irrigation runoff channels directly adjacent making it difficult (or impossible) to launch. The old pier is a popular dive site, frequented by many locals and shore dive operators. The reef directly in front of Mala Wharf used to be one of the most vibrant and popular dive sites in the area. Sadly the agricultural runoff has completely destroyed those adjacent reefs.
