Watch Hill Harbor |
We are located in the heart of Watch Hill Cove just steps from the charming village shops, fine restaurants, and renowned beautiful beaches of Watch Hill. Whether you explore Napatree Point Beach, Foster Cove and Little Narragansett Bay a short dinghy ride away, fish off the breakwater at Watch Hill Lighthouse, body surf at East Beach or enjoy a homemade ice cream cone from St. Clair Annex, there is something for everyone in Watch Hill.
We are affiliated with Frank Hall Boat Yard, just up the Pawcatuck River, which can help you with a haul out or any other service needs you may have. Our Dockmaster looks forward to welcoming you.
We stay at WHD 3-4 times a season - wonderful place, wonderful facility, great staff.
Watch Hill is not to be missed, and the watch Hill docs are right in the heart of town. They have a strict cancellation policy, which hurt us when we were delayed by rough weather. But their location is perfect – close to the beaches, close to the shops, right on the waterfront. And a very friendly and helpful dock master.
Water, electric, dock hand were terrific. Good lighting on docks. Shower, would have nice, but we knew in advance. Approach needs a little concentration, but, hey, that’s what boating is about. Lovely area of preserved genteel environment.
Well maintained well run perfectly located Marina..and John is a superb Dockmaster..in town next to beaches stores and restaurants
What a beautiful place to visit. John is the best! As well as Mark and Alex. Always there to help you out. Cute little town with shops and restaurants. East Beach is the nicest beach around. My favorite place to visit...
What a great place! A real gem. It's worth a week there. John the dockmaster was amazing, He was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Dockage was great as was the town of Watch Hill. Dock hands/dockmaster friendly (John & Alex) and very helpful. Definitely going back again. Stayed 4 days (came in 1 daay erly and they were able to accommodate us)
What a beautiful place Dock master very helpful Quite close to town secure
What a great 3 days we had. Nothing like 3 perfect, sunny days in Watch Hill in October. It hit 80 degrees! John, the Dockmaster at Watch Hill Docks was great. Very helpful and great conversations. Many of the shops on Bay St were closed, but enough open for my wife to buy a new bathing suit on sale! Uber’d to a great restaurant called Cinder and had a pizza delivered the second night. Great run out to Napatree point. A real gift to have 3 days like this in October.
Didn't go due to weather, and believe we should have a refund. There were no boats at the dock, and our cancellation certainly didn't impact anyone who wanted the spot on the dock.
Wonderful. John the dockmaster is very profession and a refreshing person.
Very courteous and professional dock side service. Location is ideal, just steps from shops and restaurants. Very quiet.
For what it is...old school! It was great! No rest toom or showers is not cool even though we have our own. The harbormaster is awsome. Being in the middle of town is the real attraction!
Great spot! Beautiful harbor, right in town, walk to everything! Dockmaster was very nice and very helpful! We will return!
Great stay met by John who helped us tie up.location is fabulous close walk to beach and shops. One issue we had was there is no cable hook up and WiFi did not work tried many times different ways. In this day in age and for what we are paying they should get it fixed
Although they don't have many amenities like shower or laundry, The location is supreme. You are right in the downtown retail area. Walking distance to great beaches! Will be returning in the future.
Excellent facility experienced and friendly Dockmaster. Great small waterfront community and fantastic beaches
Very helpful and competent dock master, easy in and out, and beautiful area to explore. Walked up to Ocean House for a great dinner in the bar.
Watch Hill is one of my favorite places. John the Dock Master is very helpful and has a world of local knowledge.
Beautiful location in Town of Watch Hill. No facilities
town is awesome small but very beach the dock master was awesome.... we'll be back!!!
A nice marina in the middle of everything. A beautiful area for relaxing and enjoying the Rhode Island coast. The view from the lighthouse is spectacular. I suggest a minimum two day stay. The marina staff were great. Thank you for your hospitality.
One of our favorite places to stay in New England. John, the Dockmaster is a great guy, extremely helpful and nice to spend time with. Beautiful small harbor and quant marina. We look forward to being back soon.
The dock masters were great very helpful especially when we had to dock in a very strong headwind. The town is just across a parking lot and road and your convenient to all including really nice beaches.
Fabulous location and John the Dockmaster is very helpful and experienced!
Always amazing!! Watch Hill is beautiful! The marina is right in town. We will continue going back!
Terrific dock and dock master. A little tricky in and out if slip with pilings. But Dick master was right there helping us in.
Dock is well maintained with plenty of room. John the Dockmaster could not be nicer and more helpful! Watch Hill is a quaint little village with some really nice shops. We enjoyed our lunch at the Anchor restaurant and had a splendid dinner & evening at the Ocean House, a must see when visiting Watch Hill.
The Watch Hill Docks are in a good location. I don't care much for the main office staff. John, the senior guy at the dock is very attentive and helped us out. This is a good place for a couple of nights where you can visit two different beaches. The docks are across from the 2 block street full of boutiques. Food is limited with one nice restaurant (Olympia Tea), bakery, deli, counter ice cream / grill place and a small sandwich / bar sit down restaurant. There is also the upscale Ocean House for fine dining that was very good
Great place. Looking forward to going again real soon.
The dock master John is great. The slip is on Main Street Watch Hill a beautiful town.
Unbelievable. From the nail biter channel to the super welcoming, friendly and clear dock folks. Town is awesome. We have bikes so got to explore a lot.but many great places in walking distance. A+
… Very pleasant stay on the main town square. Recommend Olympia Tea Room Restaurant steps away from the dock.
Excellent place to stay, great docks, highly recommend
Absolutely love it here. To be able to step off your boat and be right in town is great. Everyone is so friendly and helpful here too
Expert guidance got us in and tied up in just a few minutes. Perfect location in the center of town and close to beautiful beaches. A perfect getaway vacation.
Great location to Town and hotel. Needs restroom facility though. Tough for over one night stay.
Great location, nice docks with good power and water all with a beautiful sunset. John was more then welcoming and helpful tying us up. We will definitely be back next season
10/3/2021 We had another great stay at Watch Hill Docks. Jimthe dockmaster is awesome. He guided us easily into our slip and got us squared away with power and a recommendation for dinner and the beaches. This is an awesome spot but should note they have no facilities. We had dinner at the Olympia Tea Room which was awesome. We definitely will be coming back in 2022.
Watch Hill Docks were just what we were looking for in a short visit. Both Dockmen were helpful & the town is right there with a great restaurant Olympia’s Tea Room.
Great trip. My only complaint is that there are no restrooms or showers. It’s definitely a one night stay unless you have great shower on your boat…..we do not.
Watch Hill, docks are right in the middle of the town. Dockmaster is friendly and helpful. Beautiful quiet location. No facilities at the dock due to restrictions by town.
Had a wonderful 2 night stay. Staff was excellent facilities very nice and was before all the bridges so no need to worry about waiting. Bring a dinghy as there is a great tie up in town which is very close.
Best dock, great people at a wonderful location. Thank you to John, Jim and Charlie
WHD is a great small dock right in the heart of town. Watch Hill is an adorable destination. It’s my favorite
We had a great time the crew and staff were very helpful great spot
Awesome place!!!........................................................
John is the best. We are rookies at other than our own marina and John was very helpful....when we arrived and when we left! Thanks John!
Middle of town very convenient dock. Don’t forget the lobster rolls at Bay Street deli and a cocktail on the veranda at Ocean House. Too bad the deli is closed.
First visit and won't be the last! Friendly staff and great location
Great place to be. Walking distance to everything. Had our bikes so we were able to explore the surrounding area which is beautiful. Marina is small but dock master was very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful destination, dog friendly and wonderful small town
Very attentive staff Perfectly protected from the weather. Splendid, special town; we’ve been before and definitely will be back again.
We always love staying at Watch Hill. There is no better dock staff and more quaint town. Could not be more pleased.
Our stay at Watch Hill Docks was very pleasant and Jim the Dock master was extremely helpful and cooperative.
Loved it! Adorable town. Low key. Truly nice people.
Couldn’t ask for better service or a better place to stay. Truly a special destination.
Great little boat basin right in the middle of town with a very short walk to a beach. No amenities. But, if you are self contained, it is perfect.
What an incredibly welcoming and helpful staff! They were extremely professional and did require notation of every guest in case it is necessary for contact tracing. If you want to be in the thick of watch hill, this is the spot!
Such a great place. Great location. Beaches are awesome!
Always a pleasure to be on the water and in Watch Hill. Staff very helpful.
Great location, lots of activity, nice beach. Walk to Ocean House
No showers and toilets, no hoses on the docks. $150 per night is too expensive for a marina with none of the basic amenities you would expect. The dock master is very nice and helpful.
This is one of our favorite locations. It’s such a pretty town and it’s so relaxing. John and Jim take great care of Watch Hill Docks. Staying with them is like staying with family. The location is key to enjoying every part of time including the beaches. We highly recommend this marina for any length of stay. John and Jim will take great care of you and you will have a great experience.
Very expensive, especially for midweek after Labor Day. No head, no showers. Power and water available. Dock personnel were great. We will not return because of cost.
We enjoyed our stay here. Jim help us tie up and was helpful and pleasant; convenient location into town however it is surprising for the dockage cost, that there are no toilet or shower facilities available, only water and power.
Friendly helpful staff ,great location beautiful views!
Great central location to access everything in Watch Hill, shops, eateries, and beaches are all easy walking distance. Scenic harbor. Docks are fixed/basic, however, no showers, laundry, recycling, or other amenities are offered here.
Classic spot, helpful dock staff. Fixed docks but only 2 foot tide range.
Great time! Very friendly staff, very helpful. We will be back next year! Thank You
Bare bones, pilings water and electric. The town park is near and nice and there is a good restaurant 200 yds away.
Great stay, location and setting perfect. Dock master very friendly and helpful.
Great place, but be sure you bring plenty of dock lines and long ones. Fender boards are a help. The docks are fixed and a slightly unusual set-up with finger piers not perpendicular to the main dock. There are no cleats so all lines go around poles. The dockmaster is very helpful, and knows the best tie, but you will need more gear than you are used to if you are normally at a floating dock with cleats.
Always pleasant here. The dock is quite adequate, the dock people helpful, and everything is within walking distance.
John and his staff always extend fine hospitality. We look forward to staying at Watch Hill Docks in the future!
Always enjoy my stay here. John the dock master is extremely helpful.
