About

Olde Towne Marina, Inc. is your source for used or new boats in Florida and boat storage at an Amelia Island marina. It is owned by Captain Willie Sweatt. He has been in business since 1983. Capt. Willie was born and raised on Amelia Island. He got his first boat when he was ten (an old wooden rowboat), and he has been boating ever since. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He sailed in the Navy and in the Merchant Marines for over 27 years. He was master of the United States’s largest oil tanker before he retired, sailing between Kuwait and Rotterdam. He also piloted submarines for the U.S. Navy in Kings Bay, GA and has run tugs on the intracoastal waterway in the local area. Capt. Willie did marine towing and salvage work as the Towboat US tower in the area for a number of years. He held an Unlimited Master’s Oceans license and is now the Dealer for Lowe Boats and Mercury Outboards.
