I consider Brickyard Cove a true boutique marina. Clean, organized and the Neighbours are awesome. It is well protected and 10 minutes away from opening the sails in the best sailing spot of San Francisco Bay.
Convenient, Great Harbormaster
I stopped in here to get a quick replacement part so I could complete a nearby dive project. I tied up and got halfway to the marina office to ask for permission to meet a co-worker waiting in the parking lot with my part and was immediately confronted with a fellow on the dock who berated me for not "making arrangements ahead of time" and told me "this is a private boat club and tie-ups aren't allowed" and told me to leave. There are no signs anywhere that make mention of this. I assume this guy was part of the marina staff (WM, 30-40's, heavy, short hair, apoplectic), but he's not on the staff page of the marina website. I've been in the boating community for 20+ years, and I've never seen this kind of snobbish hostility. I'm going to petition both my yacht clubs to never extend reciprocity to this marina.
