My review is more about the new owners, Safe Harbor. Safe Harbor recently purchased my home marina where I have my boat again this year. I understand the corporate philosophy of ownership and management of real estate. I'm OK with deficiencies in light of government offices being closed hobleing the efforts of the new Owners to get certain permits and licenses. Also the challenge of maintaining your NOI and returning your promised ROI to your investors is almost impossible right now. My 3 star rating has more to do with the little things like customer service and there have been many disappointments in that area with Safe Harbor last year and this year. Today me and 4 other boating couples booked slips at Geat Oaks for 3 nights. The first issue was the 10 transient stays at no charge if we go to another Safe Harbor marina. There was an issue with Dockwa reservation and we are still waiting to see if we are credited for the stay. To be fair the employees are great but the new systems are not up and running similar to the take over of my marina Carrol Island. The kickers was this morning I saw a portable pump-out golf cart being driver by to employees. I asked if we could have our boats pumped out tommorow saving us the trouble of take off the ropes and putting down 20 yards. I was told the service was not for transients. So much for this sunshine of being part of the Safe Harbor Family! I maybe a Safe Harbor family member, but more of a 4 cousin from another marina that nobody likes to be around during events. Typical corporate marketing with no training done on how to use the systems and how treat your customers with old fashion care. Call ahead to all Safe Harbor marinas before you go to see what ammenits are open and available as they are not updated on the websites. And after you ask be prepared for the information to change depending on what employee you ask.
