Obexer's Boat Company traces its beginnings back to 1911. When its progenitor, Jacob P. Obexer, first laid eyes on Lake Tahoe. Now over a century later, Obexer's enterprise is a fixture on Lake Tahoe's west shore. Today the heritage of this institution continues into its fifth generation. Now with Jacob's great-granddaughter Sarah at the helm backed by a wonderful team of experienced, hard-working employees who aid her in the daily operation of the marina. Obexer's Boat Company endures into the 21st Century as one of the oldest continuously operated family businesses anywhere on the Lake, celebrating the indomitable vision and tendril of its forbearers.
