Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club and Marina

Dockage and parking adequate

This was our first year, with a new boat docking for the summer at Sommerset and it exceeded our expectations. We were reluctant to make a change after years at downtown marina but it was well worth it.

Awesome place. All staff is A+. Restaurant and bar is a great atmosphere. Love hanging out. Marina is very clean and well run. Highly recommend to all.

Nice restaurant, facilities & great people

It's always a great stay at Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club and Marina. It's a clean and beautiful setting. The club house offers a nice menu for lunch and dinner depending on the schedule. The staff is helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed a five day stay at Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club, boating, swimming, playing in the sand. The staff was so helpful and pleasant. We'll see you again next year. Tharapee '89

Nice condo development. Everything is new and clean. Long walk to clubhouse, rest rooms. Etc.

Great marina and restaurant! Only suggestion is spraying weekly for spiders. They were heavy this year.

We stayed there all summer. A beautiful spot but they need to add a pump out and collect/clean trash better. Love the pool!

The dock was pretty easy to access and the staff was friendly.

Somerset is a great location in Lake Charlevoix. It has great amentities like a Pool, Gym, Restaurant and atmosphere.

This was the last stop on our upper Michigan tour. The whole country is under staffed, but they did a great job! Communication was great. Hosted an extended family dinner in the restaurant that was excellent. We are already planning to come back next summer!

Sommerset Pointe was an enjoyable stop for us on our Great Loop trip. We had a slip in the calm harbor with a great view of Lake Charlevoix. Peter was very helpful in getting us settled & acquainted with the area. We enjoyed a fine dinner at the club restaurant. The pool was a refresher on a warm day. Sommerset Pointe is a easy bike or dinghy ride to Boyne City where we enjoyed good restaurants, fun shopping & a fine organic food store.

We felt like the marina was very inadequate. No services. No restaurant no bar garbage overflowing no one to talk too poor management for sure. New dock is very nice but no numbers so good luck guessing where you need park.

I was in town for the Boyne thunder poker run. I used Dockwa to make a reservation and was very satisfied. The marina is absolutely beautiful and the staff was accommodating.

Summerset tells you to use Dockwa for online reservations but doesn't respond to confirm. Not very good customer service, especially if they want transient boaters.

I tried to get a reservation and went online to dockwa 6 minutes (5:06 am) after the marina opened up for reservations on 4/15. My reservation was declined with no real explanation except cannot accommodate. I also put in a reservation for the previous week to the first reservation request. That one never was acknowledged and the request “died” waiting for response. This marina is entirely irresponsible and non responsive. Do not plan on good service or reasonable behavior.
