Annapolis - Back Creek |
Built at the mouth of Back Creek; our marina basin faces the Chesapeake Bay, Severn River and Back Creek. Our eight foot thick asphalt pier and breakwater protect our slip holder’s boats from weather while allowing them the very best view of the open water in all of Annapolis. Our courtyard has been the setting for many gatherings including intimate weddings, corporate functions, and crowd pleasing barbeques.
Horn Point Harbor offers 54 slips ranging in size from 30 to 60 feet in length to annual leaseholders while maintaining extensive transient dockage. We are able to accommodate yachts of 120 feet in length while drawing up to 12 feet in depth – rare on the Bay! Our accommodations make Horn Point Harbor one of only three marinas in Annapolis able to provide dockage to large motor and sailing yachts! Our 120′ of open bulkhead space is a rarity in the Annapolis area and a perfect spot for large Catamarans. Although it is great to have the space and view, it's proximity to the Severn River means it will not always be calm as it is completely exposed.
Each slip has 30 to 100 amp electric, water, and cable television access. We also have restrooms and showers for slip holders. A marine pump out station for stored waste is available to transients and annual slip holders.
We enjoyed our stay at Horn Point. It is quiet with a nice view of the Bay. A pleasant 10-15 block walk to downtown Annapolis. My one suggestion is that the marina find an easier way to allow guests to sign into and use Wi-Fi. If this means the transient slip charge must be increased, so be it.
Convenient to Eastport and Bay but tight slip. Other than bathrooms, not other amenities
Beautiful views, Mike the dockmaster is very helpful and friendly, facilities are clean. Quick walk to the iconic Davis’ Pub and many other great restaurants. Charming neighborhood.
Excellent , Mike was very helpful, knowledgable and there to assist in docking and departure. Very convenient location and a 1/4 mile walk to Davis Pub which was fantastic.
Dockmaster very cooperative. Washrooms clean and well appointed.
Had a wonderful stay for the United States Sailboat Show. The facilities were nice and clean. All slip holders were friendly and were able to give recommendations for restaurants, shopping etc. Dockmaster went out of his way to help us get in our slip and make our stay enjoyable. Will definitely stay again.
Nice and clean marina. Dock manager helpfull and sympathic.
Wonderful amenities, close proximity to a couple Eastport eateries, dock master very personable and helpful in many areas.
The dockmaster was very helpful in getting us securely tied up and the restroom/shower facilities were clean and roomy. I did not like having to "register/create an account" to access wifi. Such a waste of time for transients... Reasonable access to Annapolis attractions (25-30 minute walk across the bridge) and great access to several local Eastport restaurants, a brew pub, bakery, convenience store and a longer walk to Walgreens. We loved the residential neighborhood vibe right outside the marina!
The marina and dockmaster were very pleasant but there is no Captain's lounge.
Always a pleasure! Best views of the Bay Bridge and boats entering Annapolis.
I have an annual slip in the very best location in Annapolis. The view is amazing and the access to the bay is immediate.
Easy to get in and out of the slip. Pet friendly. Very clean bathrooms.
I don't know SVlauryan is talking about! We stayed the very same dates at Horn Point Harbor in Annapolis and the staff is AWESOME! We had a great time and the team did a thorough job of explaining the bulkhead and of course there is no laundry. It says so right in the description! 1 Star for SVlauryan 5 stars for Horn Point Harbor !!
We were on the wall and VERY exposed so more than half the time, we left to anchor in back creek. Renee is very sweet but this is barely a marina in that there are not laundry facilities (a def perk of staying at a marina) and no dock hands to help with lines. The pump out station was also not working. Would never consider a month long stay here again.
Marina facilities were fine - clean bathrooms, nice showers, wifi, etc. Staff was very nice as well. Issue I had was only being able to tie up along breakwater where my boat was fully exposed to east winds and waves coming off the bay. It was VERY rough - like being inside a washing machine in terms of boat motion and very loud due to waves slapping against breakwater and my boat all night long. Good thing I had extra large fenders or my boat would surely have been damaged. So unpleasant along breakwater that I decided to leave the marina after 1st night of a pre-paid 2 night night stay, opting instead to anchor in Back Creek where it was nice and calm for my 2nd night. I would consider using this marina again, but only if I can get a slip inside the breakwater. I would not recommend anyone to tie up along the breakwater for an overnight stay.
wifi instuctions imposible no one there to help unfriendly other boaters
Renee made everything easy from clear directions to get into our slip and suggestions to help. The bathrooms and showers are clean and new and the facilities great. Not to mention the BEAUTIFUL view from the dock. Our stay was amazing. Easy access to the boat show and downtown. Only thing missing was in site laundry. But There is a laundromat in town. Overall we would highly recommend the marina. S/V Kalon
Great location in Eastport area of Annapolis. Not a "full service" marina where there are dockhands to help with lines. It's more of a do-it-yourself slip. Stern in with pilings and lines that divide the slips. Bathrooms are nice and clean with showers. A good 15 minute walk over the bridge to downtown Annapolis. Were nice enough to deal with some Amazon deliveries for us. We'd stay there again.
No help at the dock neither the location to stay. No information was given concerning the wifi and bathrooms.
Well situated marina on the south side of Eastport, walking distance to Davis' and Boatyard bar and grill. Easy to get to without all the hoopla of Annapolis, which is nice to avoid all the crowds. Annapolis is still accessible through the neighborhood and across the compromise st. bridge. The location and the view of the bay are the Marina's strengths as is the friendly staff. They reached out to us in advance to confirm the reservation and provide our slip assignment, along with a map, and how to get in touch with them if we needed to. We are return customers and will continue to be.
