Windward Yacht Yard is just 3 miles from the mouth of the Merrimack with 160 slips and moorings. A & B docks are located on the west side of the Route 1 Bridge, while C & D docks are located east of the bridge.
Enjoy the many marina amenities to relax after a long day on the water, such as visiting the clubhouse, allowing our dock attendants to assist with docking and delivering ice to your boat, watching cable television, and using the laundry facilities.
Not even one star lost a month No power! Opened 2weeks late They never updated electric city Disconnected power after fire On going problems !!!!!! Think twice
What made our stay great was the people around us could not ask for a better group of people
Awful Worst marina we ever stayed at Docks are falling apart and the ramps are dangerous No facilities to speak of Parking lot is filled with pot holes and muddy when it rains And the local restaurants use the marina parking lot for their patrons So the boat owners rarely have a place to park their cars
Dockhands were awesome!
Safety and deferred maintenance is a significant concern at this marina. The electrical system caught on fire this year resulting in no power for one month. There is minimal fire protection on the dock and there were no railings on the pier for months this summer.
The facilities were better run and maintained versus last year. Thankfully.
Many upgrades needed! Dock hands scarce during the season. Attention to detail poor.
Docks are old and need to be replaced. Crooked all year long, amenities are lacking in a big way, personnel tough to deal with
Seasonal dockage client Customer Service lacking No management presence at Windward and Hilton Marinas on day to day basis Dock Hands not trained and unavailable after mid August (back to college for entire crew) Yard equipment in poor repair Low priority on dock security Novice boaters not aided and instructed about the hazards of the river putting other boats at risk of collision damage Excellent location.
Not worth $ dock needed work 7 times there no dock help ramp hard to manage to get cart past office never open
The gate didn’t lock, there was two by fours put up for a fence by the entrance way AND the main bathroom and shower water was shut off?
All good except the parking at Windward. The spaces up front by the yellow crane have been continually blocked the last couple of years by piles or rock, mooring blocks, 50’ masts, old dock sections, the shed, etc. This is an easy fix but it’s crazy that these valuable spaces are taken up by things that could easily be stored elsewhere. Please move them!!
Windward Marina and the other Newburyport Marinas are convenient and I enjoy using their services. Excellent restaurants a short walk away
Windward Yatch Yard is absolutely the worst marina I have ever been associated with in my 30 years of boating. The dock are unsafe, the power is unreliable averages 95 Volt at my boat I can’t even run my AC, the WiFi does not work, they don’t have bock hands, you can’t get ice, the restrooms are not cleaned regularly, they are over price for the lack of amenities they DO NOT OFFER.
