The Sail Newport docks are located on the southwest side of Newport Harbor in Fort Adams State Park. While enjoying one of the best views of the Newport Bridge and Sailing Capital of the World, guests of the Sail Newport docks will be steps away from historic Fort Adams, home to the legendary Newport Folk Festival, Jazz Festival, and The Ocean Race Newport stopover. A dinghy ride across the harbor takes you to downtown Newport, or take one of the convenient water taxis.
Sail Newport maintains and manages events for all of the piers except the east side "T" pier, which is reserved for intermodal transport and select commercial vessel pick-up and drop-off services. All touches on the pier must be prearranged with Sail Newport and there is a fee for use.
Beautiful area. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great storage location in new racks. Nick always does a great job in providing a great storage location every year with my bad back.
Convenient and well maintained facility. Professional helpful and courteous staff. Charlie is the best!
Very friendly and helpful staff
Great facility. Great staff
Sail Newport has great people and facilities
I have been keeping sailboats of one size or another at Sail Newport for 40 years! Sailing out of Newport would not be possible with out Sail Newport. They are the best!
Nick Mauprivez is the best! Super helpful. The docks were the perfect space we needed for the Ida Lewis Distance Race
Thank you from Team After Midnight !
Great docks in a great location.
Super helpful and flexible. Great location
Sail Newport is a great facility with so much to offer. Whether for dockage, sailboat rental, lessons or events it is a “crown jewel” of this lovely city voted the friendliest in America by Trip Advisor in 2022. Easy ferry shuttles get you right to downtown while enjoying a harbor cruise. Perfect for Yacht Club cruises and large multi-boat rendezvous. Book early as people are starting to discover it!
U don’t suggest this boating company because it is cheap and does not have good service I feel as if they could also have politer employees
Not a good sailing experience, boats were cheap brands and the staff on the boat were rude and made inappropriate jokes around my children
Spent the winter at sail newport. All good.
Took two weeks to get a spot usung Dockwa. Ft adama dinghy dock is super crowded with commercial dinghes. Bad. Boats were moved around and some sat submerged for months. Not very newport like
