We had a lovely stay at Pickwick Landing State Park. When we arrived, we were greeted by two very helpful people who assisted us with a tie and gave us the scoop on how to get a car up to the lodge for dinner, such great hospitality!
The marina office and laundry room were beautiful and well-kept. making for a very comfortable stop. The shower houses are a bit of a walk, but the surroundings are so pretty it’s hard to complain. The whole area is simply gorgeous.
The lodge itself was warm and welcoming, and our dinner was outstanding. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits, while Mike had the Cajun chicken pasta, a dish the driver had recommended. Once we arrived, we even met some other diners who told us they come there just for that Cajun chicken pasta, and we can see why!
All in all, Pickwick Landing is a beautiful spot with friendly people, great facilities, and a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
