Report Review
Our experience with Mystic Downtown Marina from the beginning was very positive and we will be returning for another visit for sure!
Communication - through the Dockwa app and/or email was very timely. Brian the Dockmaster went above and beyond in making our stay very memorable, to the point I said we were not going to leave!
The little things:
- We arrived on time but our slip still had the season occupant there. To be honest, I completely missed Brian's messages that there was a delay, so this was on me. Nonetheless, he made an accommodation for us to tie up in a temporary slip (which had a fire pit, outdoor furniture and a lime tree(!) next to us. Our boat is 47' so making this accommodation took some effort!
- Freshly baked croissants, breakfast sandwiches and freshly bakes cookies - which by the way were delivered personally by Brian to all the boats...hot out of the oven...on the sheet pan they were baked on.
- Dailey check-ins - Brian stopped by daily to see if we had everything we needed.
- All the other stuff that was available - From Corn Hole to the (3) fire pits to fishing gear and bait for our son and his friend, to strong WiFi, to a nice green lawn, to clean restrooms/showers, to ample laundry, ice, easy access to the pump out boat, to on-site yacht repair company (Kool Boats LLC) - the marina had everything one could ask for. Overall, everything is kept neat and tidy and the docks/utilities are is great shape.
Location - As the name says, Mystic Downtown Marina is in downtown Mystic. The walk to get to popular places like Sift and Mystic Pizza take 2-3 minutes. Daniel Packer Inn is across the street as is Blue Heaven kayak and Paddleboard rentals is 100' from the marina.
Dinghy - If you have a dinghy, bring it with you. There is so much to explore in the immediate area. Mystic Seaport, Red 36, Kitchen Little, Esker Point; its all very close.
Can't wait to come back!
