We are located in historic down town Mystic, Connecticut once the leading seaport of the area and now a well-known vacation destination. As our name suggests we are the closest marina to downtown Mystic. Our marina provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with a close proximity to all the restaurants, shops, and other tourist attractions. Our location is between the bridges providing protection and calm waters for a pleasant stay. The railroad bridge is usually open for boat traffic. When the bridge is closed for train traffic, you may hail the Mystic River Railroad Bridge on VHF Channel 13 to inquire about the next opening.
Great location and facilities; walking distance to the best of Mystic; always enjoy our stay!
Great location! This is our second visit, we're hoping for a third!
Other than excellent location, nothing special. Bathhouse-laundry-restrooms are clean, well-maintained. Be prepared to dock on your own. Dock master Jack is friendly, helpful in other way but unable to assist with lines. Piers still functional but beginning to show their age. Overall, a good experience.
This is our absolute favorite marina to travel to! Located directly on the Mystic River you can't ask for a better place to sit and "watch the world go by." The staff is happy that you're there and makes everything very easy. The other boaters at the marina are helpful and friendly. The grounds are well kept and the facilities very clean. There is a lot of pride taken in keeping this marina 5-stars and it shows. As for location to restaurants and entertainment, you are a short walk to downtown shopping and numerous restaurants. We look forward to our stop each year to Mystic Downtown Marina and highly recommend it.
Eric and Owen were great. We pulled into a bow first slip with floating dock right on the Mystic review. Fun to watch the boat’s go by and wait for the drawbridge at 40 minutes past the hour. No bouncing around despite a pretty stiff breeze. Very quiet, friendly group of boaters. The 50A shore power at the pole was 208V but Eric pulled out a dockside boost transformer that got us up to 230V. Overall good stay. Will be back.
