17th Street Yacht Basin

This was our second time at 17th Street. The very protected basin is great, as are the staff members and access to the resort hotel amenities. It more than makes up for no marine fuel or pump out on site. The price is more than reasonable for Fort Lauderdale.

Karen, the dockmaster was the best, she helped us try and find parts we were looking for on our boat and let us stay on the fuel dock, came in late and left early!! the marina had a heated pool, walking to stores and eating establishments!! Karen checked on us the next day, she was the best!! Best marina ever!!!

Very good Dockmaster. The location had the most incompetent boat drivers I’ve ever seen in 60 years of boating. Complete mayhem in the area. Very difficult to pull into the assigned location with so many child-like people driving boats with reckless abandon. The police were doing nothing to stop it.

This location worked out great. Right off ICW, but way protected and calm. We will choose this marina again on our travels.

Just an overnight to accomdatean early exit to thr Bahamas. Great as alwasys to stay there.

Location, location, location and the Marina manager is awesome. Only suggestion if you will it would be really nice to have a laundry facility.

Highly professional staff with a nice, secure location

Easy access from the Intracoastal, nice floating docks, and hotel pool nearby. Dockmaster Allan was courteous and very efficient.

Nice staying next to the Hilton where you can use their pool, restaurants and you are in walking distance of other restaurants. I will be back!

Nice place, just a dock and hotel

We were in and out. Nice quite safe and clean. Communication was immediate.

The facilities are clean and just what you would expect from a Hilton property. And, Alan on the dock team was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The marina staff is nicely helpful. (Thanks, Alan, for being so accommodating of our requests.) The marina is tucked nicely out of the hustle & bustle, so if you're sleeping onboard, the water will be nice & quiet. Access to the hotel facilities is nice; it's a pleasant hotel. There's no marina showers or laundry. We overlooked the fact that there are no showers, laundry facilities, or fuel. (There IS pump-out, though for a small added fee.) We ended up leaving a day early, after all the hullabaloo we put Alan through on arrival. (We hadn't paid enough attention to weather; and a decent storm was forecast for our day of departure, so we left a day early. Sorry, Alan, that you had to put up with all our "stuff" and then we up and left! No reflection on you or the marina.) Overall, a place we'd stay at again (and just plan appropriately now that we're aware of all the above).

The Harbor Master said it was an easy pull in but failed to mention there was a catamaran docked at the entrance that took up half the entrance. Then the slip I was assigned to was occupied but the guy was really nice and helped us park in an unoccupied slip.

We received an Email with assigned slip number suggested docking side , a map of the harbor showing the slip location and hailing instructions, I wish all marinas would do this..

Allan the dock master made this a five star experience. In fact, if I could give more I would. He was so personable, helpful and informative. This is a man who enjoys his work and loves his job. I hope his employer knows what a gem they have in Allan. Customer service like this is rare. Bravo Allan! Tawny B

Very nice marina and even better staff. Sthefany was wonderful in trying to juggle the slips to get us another night.
