ELECTRIC SUPPLY SYSTEM DAMAGED OUR EQUIPMENT The staff members were excellent! your “dockboys”(and girls) polite, friendly and were top notch. Everything was perfect until it was time to plug in. EVERY ELECTRICAL DEVICE WAS DAMAGED/BURNED. HALF OF THE OUTLETS: DEAD! I plugged into two separate 30a burn damaged outlets. one for air conditioners the other for the rest of the boat. running 1 a/c only at 12 amps ruined my $130 30amp cord set. THE 30 amp SUPPLY COULD NOT HANDLE a 12 amp DRAW. THE POWER INFRASTRUCTURE AT THIS MARINA IS GARBAGE AND DAMAGING TO YOUR VESSELS EQUIPMENT. Reports to the Manager, James regarding substandard infrastructure were shrugged off. Advising him of their need for the services of an electrician, he replied that they have an electrician. ISLAND BOATYARD NEEDS TO SECURE THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. A shuttle is offered. Told by 2 staff members that if no one was available to drive our fellow cruisers to church on sunday, taxi fare would be reimbursed.
