Southport Marina

Our marina has everything you need for a perfect season. Being Downtown Kenosha makes it even better. Access to all services as well as bars and restaurants. There is an Anytime Fitness health club nearby which makes it even better.

People, facilities and town is wonderful

The marina has a lacked garbage cans however it was clean. The town of Kenosha was a fun place to visit. Fun streetcar, Civil War and natural history museum within walking distance to the marina. There is a diner called Frank's about two blocks away from the 1920's that is a must see with fantastic food

On our approach to the marina we called (phone) for our reserved slip assignment, and immediately put on hold for about 10minutes. We had to hang up in order to take sails down and prepare the boat for entrance. We hailed the marina on vhf…no reply…. We then called again (phone) and received our assignment. The fuel dock attendant DID deliver our key to the slip, which was great. Thanks. The dock was a minefield of bird crap, and the south bathhouse looked as if it were abandoned by all life except spider’s. The power stations were a cross between the pier and bath house condition. We don’t travel with a water hose, and dock hands did respond to my request for the pier to be washed so we didn’t track crap onto the boat. So that was good. Kenosha itself is a great place to visit, and the market is always has something to offer. So, we’ll return.

Great Marina and great facilities and helpful staff. This was our second trip to Southport and will definitely come back next year. We draw 7 feet, watch for the sandbar as you turn left from the harbor entrance towards the fuel dock....stay close to the rocks on your port!

Outstanding amenities, friendly & helpful team, clean well-kept pool and clubhouses and numerous great restaurants w/in walking distance. Fantastic marina. The attentive and professional employees, combined w/the well equipped workout room overlooking harbor, & multiple laundry and shower areas, & the Tap House pub very nearby (https://kenosha-taphouse.com) and Kaisers pizza (https://kaisersofkenosha.com) just a 5min walk, make this our favorite marina on Lake Michigan. We have been here for 7yrs

Very nice Marina, clean, good people and nice boats. We had a small issue with the 50 Amp breaker blowing if we used more than 30 amps, but we manged the power after learning it would trip . Would visit again. Several nice restauranta within walking distance of Marina.

The facilities were very clean and up to date. The staff we interacted with were very friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond to all needs. Would definitely stay again.

Great place & people

Beautiful marina, easy access. A little glitch with getting the fobs for access but they fixed it very quickly. Bathrooms clean, slips nice with deck boxes for use. Would recommend. Also loved their cancellation policy as we had to cross the lake a day late because of weather. No charge for cancelling that one night.

Beautiful marina! Help docking was a problem!! Was told to go to the fuel dock, an employee was painting the window trim on the gas dock building. After I yelled to him as the wind was blowing me around he said he was busy and someone will be there shortly. Another employee did come right a way. People on the dock help grab lines. On another note we went to use the marinas grills an one tank was empty and the second grill was being used and that tank was near empty. Southport should keep a spare tank by the grills.

Since the Kenosha harbor market is only on Saturday's you should offer a reduced fee like $30 for 6 hours of docking and advertise it at Waukegan and Northpoint. You would get a substantial number of visitors from both for the day increasing revenue and goodwill.

Absolutely beautiful marina! Love the pool and hot tub! Love the town hot spots within walking distance. We had a great weekend! We will be returning!

Friendly people clean harbor

Great Marina very clean and comfortable. Amenities are good. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would definitely come back.

We arrived at Southport Marina, Kenosha, WI, Friday Oct 8 after 5 PM and headed for the fuel dock, not knowing if our Dockwa reservation (shortly before 4 PM office close) would be waiting for us. There came Tom, who had waited for us to help tie up and gave us instructions to our slip (even though it was after hours for him) - thanks Tom! We then headed to slip C165 but found it occupied (not good with the office closed and Tom long gone home)! But all turned out well as after turning around to recheck for the correct dock, we returned and took the next open slip about ten slips down, hoping that no else was out that late. Saturday morning, we enjoyed visiting the Farmers Market, and especially the Civil War museum and visited with several sailors back at the slip, then it was time to return to Racine. All in all, we would visit Southport using Dockwa again!

Friendly people, fairly easy sail from Chicago, easy to find our way into the harbor and tie up to our slip. Our slip was in a perfect location near the bath house and pool and walking path. We enjoyed our stay in Kenosha and even stayed an extra night!

Fantastic. The facility was updated and clean. people were friendly. And an Irish Pub - only a 3 minute walk from our dock!

We always enjoy our annual visit to Southport Marina. The staff take good care of transients and it's a nice town to visit.

The harbor was excellent. We had four boats in our group and were given piers close to each other. The bathrooms were clean and warm. Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay and the other boaters around us were very welcoming. We will be back!

Marina was clean and had the right amenities. Check in was easy once we stopped at the gas dock to pick up our welcome pack. Check out was even easier with drop boxes at various locations. Some of the residents helped us dock and were very helpful and welcoming. The local town was walking distance and had a variety of bars and restaurants.

The facilities are great and up to date. However, the pier we were assigned was covered in goose droppings. We had to wash down the pier ourselves for 20 minutes before we could walk on it. Luckily another boat nearby had a hose on his dock

Awesome marina. Prompt response to my questions. Access cards were at the fuel dock as we arrived after the office closed (430 pm on a Friday?, to.early in my opinion). Restrooms were clean and docks were wide and debris free. Easy walk to restaurants and fantastic farmers market on Saturday morning. Friendly people on the docks. We were in a group of three boats. Nice, safe, marina, we will be back. Thank you.

1. Windy day - we were asked to stop at the fuel dock to pick up key. This is an extra stop for a large boat in wind with other boats in line at the fuel dock. We declined and were finally allowed to check in at the office (as we do at other marinas). Very poor service to ask a large boat to tie up twice, especially in wind. 2. Our slip had no number on it (fell off?). Additionally, very difficult to read any of the numbers - faint print. 3. Office staff unfriendly and gruff. 4. Our pier was literally covered with bird poop! We could not get to/from our boat without stepping in some. Disgusting! 5. Summary - dirty, unfriendly marina. Would not recommend to others.

Excellent marina! Steps to downtown Kenosha, which is a gem of a town. All the facilities were clean and in good shape. The marina graciously accommodated our after hours arrival and there was a drop off box for the keys that saved us a long walk to the main office. We had some much fun here that we're already planning our trip back next year.

The marina was spotless. The dock hand at the fuel dock didn’t know what he was doing.

Nice place, wide floating docks, and close to town. The only issue we had is that we had a (10) hour journey to get to Southport Marina and arrived at 4:35pm. We did not realize that they closed at 4:30 and was not notified regarding this issue! So after 4:30PM they will not response to your VHF radio. We were lucky that the fuel dock attendant was still present to give us an access key to the docks and restrooms and found us an open slip. We had to ask another boat owner for the WiFi passcode.

Friendly staff great location

Was here with the Chicago Yacht Club power fleet for the weekend. Kenosha and the harbor rolled out the red carpet for us. It was a wonderful time. Can't wait to go back. Thanks to everyone.

Marina staff friendly and helpful. The Marina itself is well designed- very pretty and boater friendly. Facilities are spotless.

Beautiful setting, nice marina amenities, great restaurants within walking distance - what more cold a boater ask for when traveling on Lake Michigan?

Very nice marina with swimming pool. Easy docking in a well protected basin and dock hands to screw you up. Nice town with plenty of eats and a quaint, real trolley on a loop to eveeything.

Very nice marina, friendly people and reasonably good location. Town does not have ad much to offer, especially in walking distance as some other harbor towns. Marina facilities are great.

Southport Marina in Kenoshe blows the Chicago Harbor System out of the water! Fantastic.
