A first class place with a great staff.

I'm not sure what more you could want. Clean facilities, friendly staff, clean power, free loaner cars, nice docks, many with fingers on both sides. Just beware of current at the docks when coming and going.

What a wonderful place! The marina is lovely, the staff was incredible, they have several courtesy cars, great protection from the Atlantic and in a beautiful location! What more can a boater ask for? We will be back on our next trip this way.

The stay was great, except being a safe Harbour member I thought I would get the slip at no charge since it was obvious that there appeared to be many empty slips in the marina. Would it be possible to request that the slip fee I paid to be refunded?

It is a lovely well-kept and staffed Marina with three very nice restaurants. The property is kept very clean. However, the nicest part are the dock, hands and wait staff!! They treat the customers very well. They are professional and friendly. Thank you so much. Hope to see you again soon!!

This was the 3rd year in a row visiting Safe Harbor Wentworth Marina, and it just gets better every year. The marina is well staffed and impeccably maintained. The availability of courtesy cars is a huge perk for us, allowing us to visit beautiful Portsmouth and surrounding areas. The on-site restaurants are so convenient and really good (we especially enjoy Latitudes). The beautiful location is hard to beat for views from the boat! Fantastic marina!

Safe Harbor Wentworth is one of those rare places that combines the perfect location and a fantastic staff. Next to the famous Wentworth by the Hotel and beautiful Portsmouth, NH Safe Harbor Wentworth is the perfect Marina to start and end a season cruising Downeast.

An absolutely beautiful marina and setting - easy access from the ocean, beautiful facility, well maintained, nice staff. This may be our favorite Safe Harbor Marina to date. They even had courtesy cars available that allowed us to get to and from Portsmouth easily without having to deal with Ubers, etc. Just one word of caution - when they say the fuel dock is open till 4 pm, they really mean it. We were in the middle of fueling up, having started closer to 3:30, and had to stop before our tanks were full. 3:55 pm was closing time, no matter where we were in the process. Perhaps that was on us, having arrived to the fuel dock late in the day, but it was unfortunate as we needed to fill up and have never had such a hard stop imposed on us anywhere else when we were most of the way through refueling. Other than that, thank you - we had a lovely stay and thought your marina and property were beautiful!

Great marina to stop on the way north or south. The staff was very helpful. Had a wonderful dinner just a short walk up the hill at the Wentworth by the Sea Marriott Hotel & Spa. They even accommodated our dog on the deck.

This marina provides an easy stopover for transients through a well marked channel. Hannah and her crew were wonderful and helped with docking and dining recommendations. The facilities are very clean, the courtesy cars are new and the staff friendly and helpful. We’ll worth a visit!

Awesome place, incredibly beautiful. It's a 1 and 1/4 mi walks to a beautiful seaside park. All but one of the restaurants on the property were closed for the season but the one that was open was very accommodating and very good. Dock hands were helpful as is usual at safe Harbor. Marina's.

Lovely place but very very quiet as it was off season already. We arrived after 4 so there were no marina staff there. We were messaged a code so had access to showers, as well as the gate. There was no internet as far as we could tell. We had a nice dinner at the hotel. Would like to visit again during one of the summer months.

We phoned Wentworth Marina. We were greeted by Terry who was very clear, upbeat, energetic and helpful. We were guided verbally to our slip. We were given keys to a the loner car which was clean and in great shape. The restaurant at the hotel operated by Marriot was excellent and had a great menu and view.The city of Portsmouth had everything for our provisioning s and hopping. It was very attractive and well kept up and the price of fuel was competitive. The price of dock space was very fair. The harbor was clearly marked. The bathrooms and showers were clean and attractive and secure. It is a gorgeous area and we would highly recommend it.

I cannot rave enough about Stunning Wentworth by the Sea! We were so happy to have discovered it this season and it shall be a destination we shall anticipate sailing to every summer from The Hamptons. Terry and Hannah,(and now, meeting Jackie, this year) in administration, are the absolute best!! They had been so gracious and accommodating from the very beginning of needing to tweak our arrival and departure schedule, a few weeks before arrival. We had a mishap out at sea, during our sail from the previous port, and Hannah was so sympathetic and comforting. We had hit a lobster part and had a prop dysfunction and had to divert a few hours back to Salem for an awaiting diver and possible haul out. Hannah, through Safe Harbor, switched the reservations--and immediately called Salem to inform them of our impaired arrival and to line up the diver to check out the prop. When we were, thankfully, able to make it the next day to Wentworth, all fees were adjusted. The facility and the security at Wentworth are stellar! The docks are so nice. We were on the A Dock. We had great neighbors, and a lovely view. We really enjoyed all the restaurants on the premises—Latitudes, near the marina, Salt, in the hotel. The hotel is magnificent and so many places to sit, read, converse and cogitate—during a month long sailing trip, being solidly on terra firma was well-appreciated! I was going to use the indoor pool one evening but, as it turned out, I didn’t, but I was given a tour of the spa and indoor pool, and next season, I shall definitely book some spa treatments and make use of the warm and inviting indoor pool. One of the greatest amenities for us was the loner car the marina offers. We normally bike all around or Uber on these long trips, and occasionally rent a car. Having a new, wonderful Chevy Equinox at our disposable was such a lovely addition to our stay! Aside from exploring beautiful New Castle, we drove to, and spent time in, Portsmouth—such a vibrant, well-kept town.lovely gardens down by the waterfront. And we stocked up on Provisions at a large market. We couldn’t have been happier with every element of our stay at Wentworth, including a must for boaters—visiting nearby Isles of Shoals. Can't wait to come back next year! Thank you to Philip and Nick and Hannah and Terry and Jackie and all the other amazing employees of Wentworth--a truly magical and quixotically magical port and marina!!

Very flexible when weather necessitated a change in schedule. Staff welcoming and helpful. We had an incident with a member of the crew falling off the dock during docking. There are no ladders available to assist climbing out of the water. That should be a safety standard.

Wentworth by the Sea has been a regular stop for us on Mischief boat when transiting from North/South. Every stop was a very nice experience with no surprises. Docking, fueling, etc happening as expected, wanted. This past fall, 2022, dock-master Brendan decidedly went out of his way to take care of us. That was very much appreciated. Beautiful resort location. Great dockhand to assist with tie-up. Showers and restrooms are very good and close by. Resort has everything- pool, restaurants, you name it. They even have free courtesy cars you can drive into Portsmouth. A great place to stay.

Great crew at Wentworth by the Sea Marina! Very friendly and helpful. A highlight of of three week Down East cruise. Nice dinner at Salt Kitchen and Bar, lunch at Latitudes annd breakfast at Bean Cafe. The loaner car is a special feature.

Just a wonderful place to stay - every convenience, including a “courtesy car” that we used to go to West Marine for a few things. Everyone super capable and super pleasant.

Good facilities, including a loaner vehicle, and friendly staff. The marina’s pump-out was out of service but the staff arranged for Royal Flush to come by and give us a pump-out. We were disappointed that the access to the Marriott Pool and pool-side bar had become much more expensive since my last visit to Wentworth-by-the-Sea.

Good location for easy access to the water. We made good use of the courtesy car to check out Portsmouth. Given the price of this location, we expected nicer bathrooms. If you must, I recommend only using the facilities near the parking lot. The Green Bean has nice staff and good food.

We always enjoy staying at Wentworth. The staff is reachable and courteous. The docks are well maintained and the landscaping is amazing. Usually dockage is readily available. Note: the hotel is now charging marina guests to use the pool. Not the fault of the marina. We did find a lovely (free) beach to dinghy to just across the bay at the Odiorne Point State Park. Great breakfast at Green Bean's!

Great setup, calm harbor, super nice staff and clean new facilities. The only part that sucks (as mentioned by other reviewers) and is not marina but rather hotel (not connected to safe harbor) as mentioned hitting you for 40.00 a head per day to use a mediocre pool, also regardless of time you arrive, this was important to us with young kids. To end on good note though paddled over to beaches and had some great meals, lovely weekend spot. Althea

Too bad about Marriott buying the Wentworth Hotel, the pool and Latitudes Restaurant. Now it will cost you $40 per person, per day to use the pool and Latitudes Restaurant, which once was an excellent eatery with creative, well prepared cuisine is now little more than now just another mediocre hotel restaurant. The staff at the marina were wonderful, polite and very eager to help the boater. The facilities are very clean and up to date and from a marina's perspective, one of the nicer marina's we've visited. other than that don't expect too much.

It was our first time staying at the Wentworth Marina and we were not at all disappointed with the marina, Truly a first class, well maintain marina with great security, friendly staff, even provide 2 loner cars in case you need to run to town and the Dock hand Lucy was great at our arrival. Boaters beware, if you are planning on going into Portsmouth for the day or evening be prepared for long waits for cabs in either direction. The local story is that Uber and Lyft destroyed the local Portsmouth cab companies and then the Uber/Lyft drivers dried up. We waited for over an hour each time to catch cabs for downtown runs, a destination that is only about 3 miles away. If you have a OB dinghy I suggest you bring it and run yourself downtown to Prescott Park and tie up there.

The marina is beautiful and very well maintained. The dock assistant was very polite and helpful. However, for the price the amenities were disappointing. There is a $40 a day per person added charge to use the pool. The dockside restaurant was closed (all of Saturday night and at 6pm Sunday night.) The small coffee/snack cafe was also closed at the dock. When we tried to have a casual dinner and watch the Sox/Yankees Wild Card duel at Salt, the main restaurant at the hotel, only one TV was working and it was monopolized by one man watching college football. The second night we decided to go to a sports bar in town to watch the next game in the series. We called an Uber easily to get there but at 11pm we had to wait 45 minutes to find an available car home. All in all, for the dock fees, next time we will stay on the town dock to be closer to everything, without missing much at the marina.

This place was fantastic. Shannon was amazing with communication and Lucy was fantastic and greeted me at the doc as well as helped me with a few gallons of gas. Would absolutely use this place again if the need ever arises.

Wentworth is an outstanding marina with the best staff and facilities. Our stay was extended due to deteriorating weather but we were welcomed and enjoyed the entire experience.

Had to leave very early to make Scituate before today's ugly weather. fyi. great restaurant in town -Massimo's and all the restaurants offerings at Wentworth Great too.

Outstanding facility and very helpful staff. Great food options onsite, courtesy car, excellent laundry and showers. What more could you ask for? Not cheap but worth it. Beware that the marina is populated by sports fishing boats. The one next to me left at 4:30 am and returned at 10:30 pm. There was no sleeping through it. But I don’t recall this happening when I stayed last summer, so I think I was unlucky with my slip assignment this year. Overall, great place.

We actually walked from the Marina into Portsmouth, which is a great then to visit and have dinner in. WE also used Uber to get back and forth. The restaurant at the Hotel ended up being a 10! The place was great, showers clean and free- docks were clean and spacious. My only wish would be for longer service hours of operation. We were a late arrival (5:30 pm) and early (7am) departure but would have liked to get pool passes and ice. The marina is open til 5, and opens at 8:30. Also the restaurants close too early too- Latitudes was on the list but closed before we got up the hill.

It was great that we were contacted prior to our arrival, since it was going to be after they closed. Got our slip and codes all set. Had a wonderful dinner at Salt and headed out early the next morning for our final six hour run to our home port.

Really good stay. We regret we couldn’t have stayed longer. Great reservations process, reception, dock staff. It’s covid so the lower restaurant was closed but we took away from SALT and it was fantastic. We will be back, for sure.

If your idea of a relaxing upscale marina includes a large, raucous, boozy indoor/outdoor costume party (lots of wigs, zero Covid protective masks), on a mega powerboat sporting twin Trump flags, this place could be your cup of tea. Management did not want to quiet this transient boor— probably because megas pay so much more per linear foot. We’ll skip this marina next time.

Very nice, good WiFi!

Wentworth is a first class marina - among the best quality docks we have discovered on our cruise up/down the east coast. The resort offers a full menu of amenities - spa, exercise room, pool, etc. This is a great location for a few days of relaxation on a cruise. We found the fairway between C & D docks to be narrow - we are 37 feet and found little space to maneuver - plan your docking carefully. The restrooms and laundry were fine but the mens showers up from D dock reminded me of a high school gym - no privacy.

Stopped here twice as part of a trip to Maine, and was it was our favourite marina. Staff at the office were extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Only slight let down was that the dock hands not so much. We were towards the end of the docks which afforded us great views of the river. We appreciated the use of a courtesy car to stock up and do a quick tour of the area; having The Green Bean right there for breakfast, as well as clean head/showers. Everything we needed, and more that we did not get to experience on this trip. Thank you!!

Excellent facilities and service at a classic NE marina.

The Wentworth Marina never disappoints. The dockhands, fuel dock attendants and ladies are always friendly and ready to answer any questions and are knowledgeable about the area. Our "go to" marina when we cant a quick overnight away from our home port.

Office staff was so friendly. Amenities were above and beyond any other place we have stayed. They offer a complimentary car for short periods of time. That being said, you do not have full access to the hotel including the gym.

Great marina in a beautiful setting. Helpful and friendly staff. Wentworth Hotel was awesome as well. Coming back as soon as we can.
