Claim this MarinaWe have stayed here before but this time was a bit different! We lost an engine on our way across the Albemarle Sound and the Pelican Marina helped us out big time. They are under construction, and were not even accepting reservations when we arrived - and despite some confusion (for good reason) were still able to accommodate our boat on their T Head long enough for us to try to get repairs made. They even comped us a night and provided the number for a local mobile mechanic. We are extremely grateful that they came through when they did. A few livaboards were there to help us tie up and even get to the local NAPA so we could order parts. All on a Sunday and the marina isn’t even open. Thank you again! Hope to be back when things are up and running again.
Very much concerned about safety issues. Missing and warped dock boards. Sketchy wiring exposed. Huge holes in parking lot that you could fall into. No lights on dock. But that being said, it was the only marina that offered power and the bathroom was decent. We were told it had just been bought by a new lady so hopefully the above issues will be felt with.
Pump out not in service despite listings and signs , nice dockhand, store closed indefinitely, no ice, water accessed by long hose. My guess is that storms may have caused significant damage and repairs are slow. Porch bnb is nice as are most of the docks, but garbage was overflowing the dumpster and trach was strewn about. Phones and VHF don't seem to be answered during the week. Dockwa is the only way to make reservations. Took 24 hours for us to hear confirmation, receive codes to bathrooms and wifi. It really needs attention. Owners are not on site. We met some very friendly people who live around there and seem to help out by greeting people and providing helping hands and info at dock. All in all, the free docks across the water are clearly a better deal.
Friendly and generous service from Julie. Met our needs of water, WiFi, bathrooms. Short walk to town. Docks are a little run down but they let us tie up our 49 ft boat on their T dock. Limited space. Cost was $45.
pleasant/helpfull people run this marina,Josh is a gem, though it is a little basic, the hospitality makes up for it , it is only a short walk to downtown Elizabeth city, which has several good bars and restaurants. I stayed here for 3 weeks waiting for spares for the engine, the only downside is mad dog John a livaboard, who out of whatever anger resides within him, slashed my bimini straps, irrespective of this incident I would stay there again and reccomend it
