Report Review

The staff and dockhands were exceptionally professional and extremely helpful. The problem was my slip assignment and neighbor. I think the conformation should have told me what local boaters on that dock (D) told me. They only enter or leave the dock an hour before low or high tide. The current took our boat and we had great difficulty docking. We managed to damage our swim platform trying to fight the current. A D Dock boater assisted by tying off ropes to the pilings to keep us from drifting. Our neighbor had his boat partially in his slip and extended about 8 feet beyond the pilings. He did this to make it easier to board or leave his boat. He was not around for the entire weekend. I understand that several other boaters on D Dock have complained about that vessel as well.
