About
Baileys Harbor was born from the need of a natural “Port in a Storm” for Captain Justice Bailey in the year 1848. Since that day, the need for a modern day “Harbor of Refuge” along Lake Michigan’s untamed waters has been realized. It is out of that need that the year 2000 brought about the construction to the Baileys Harbor Town Marina.
Whether a pleasure boater on a day sail, the serious yachtsman, angler, or just the opportunity to sit shore side and enjoy the sensational vistas surrounding our facility, our staff and community are here to serve your needs.
Our Marina fulfills the needs of the yachting and sport fishing public as a full service facility with gas and diesel refueling, current weather reports; seasonal or transient slip rentals, a reservations system, and acceptance of major credit cards. If you have the need to launch your boat there are four-lit launch ramps and short parking available in designated Parking lots A & B. Long term parking designated in Lot C.
Boaters can appreciate the convenience of restrooms, shower, and a laundry adjacent to the Marina in the Harbor Master headquarters. A fish cleaning station is provided for anglers catching the “big one”.
During your stay, you will never be more than minutes away from shopping, dining, a cool beverage, or many of the outdoor recreational amenities our community has to offer.
Come check out our Marina and watch the sun rise over the waters of Lake Michigan, upward into the violet-orange skyline until daylight peeps out to greet you a “Good Morning”. Should you wish to simply unwind, grab a fishing pole, set sail, or mingle with the local fishermen, we hope to see you soon.

Bailey’s Harbor Marina is one of the nicest marinas we’ve visited. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and it’s obvious that a lot of pride goes into keeping everything in excellent condition. Robert and his team do an outstanding job. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and professional, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their positive attitude and commitment to providing a great experience really stood out. The marina is well run, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and it’s a great place to spend time on the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. I highly recommend Bailey’s Harbor Marina to anyone looking for a clean, well-managed marina with exceptional people.

I love this Marina. Such a beautiful spot. The place is always clean. You are close to many walking spots in town for food and shopping. Some really great restaurants and breweries. Robert the manager did a heck of a job juggling to get me the last week. I so appreciate it. I so hope they expand so they get more good size boats in to the harbor.
Great marina, I just wish it was bigger as it can be tough to get a transient slip and the waiting list for a seasonal is very long. Marina staff is super friendly and accommodating. The marina is in a beautiful location with great views and an easy walk to many great shops, restaurants and breweries. This is also a great location to fish out of.

We are fortunate enough to take a few trips throughout the year. From a Caribbean Island to Canada. But Baileys is ALWAYS our favorite vacation of the year!!! The marina is clean, sooo friendly and great Door County location. We’ve made great friends here, many of the same boats come around the same time yearly. Robert the Harbor Master is a true GEM!! He takes great pride in the Marina and Baileys Harbor. Come once, you’ll be back for life 🎣
Baileys Harbor Town Marina is exactly what we were hoping to find on the Lake Michigan side of Door County: quiet, clean, friendly, and fully capable without feeling overly commercial or touristy. The marina has the essentials boaters actually need, including 30- and 50-amp service, water, 40-foot docks, fuel access, and clean bathroom and shower facilities. The marina is quaint, but it is not lacking. It feels like a well-run small-town harbor rather than a crowded resort marina, which was a big part of the appeal for us. Before coming in, a few people mentioned concerns about shallow water. I run a 37-foot boat with stern drives, so I paid attention to that, but I did not have any concerns during our stay. Don, the harbormaster, met us at the dock when we arrived and was helpful right away. I asked him about the depth concerns I had heard, and he explained that they had recently completed a dredging operation. That was reassuring, and our experience matched it. The town itself was also a great fit for what we wanted. Good people, good food, good coffee, and very dog friendly. Being on the Lake Michigan side of Door County gives Baileys Harbor a slower, more relaxed feel than some of the busier bay-side towns. For boaters looking for a quieter Door County stop with the necessary marina amenities, clean facilities, and a welcoming harbor staff, Baileys Harbor Town Marina is an easy recommendation.
Beautiful and clean marina! Harbor master was there to help us dock. Within walking distance to coffee shops, food trucks and the cutest bars. Will be making many more trips here!
