The Boathouse Marina welcomes you to our sleepy little town. Historic Palatka is located on the St. Johns River, one of only a few in North America that flows northward. The Seminole Indians called this place, “Pilotakita”, meaning crossing or ford. Early settlers also referred to Palatka as the “Gem City”.
The boathouse for 30 days outside of some initial confusion I found the staff incredibly helpful and super nice The place is super clean and they were in the process of putting in some brand new bathrooms as well as having laundry on site And you can't beat the views right downtown historic palatka
Had a great stay as usual. Marina owners are very friendly and accommodating. It's "Old Florida" marina, not fancy but has all we needed and its close walking distance to Palatka downtown is perfect for short walks to restaurants, bars, small shops. Also the marina has a small grassy area for pets which works out good for a quick potty break for our little girl. I think they are slowly starting to make improvements and now also took over operations of the city marina a few hundred yards over
Good owners and maintenance personnel. They are very helpful to call and point out concerns to your boat. I do wish they were not full on electric supplied dock slips and could accommodate me but…
