The Boathouse Marina welcomes you to our sleepy little town. Historic Palatka is located on the St. Johns River, one of only a few in North America that flows northward. The Seminole Indians called this place, “Pilotakita”, meaning crossing or ford. Early settlers also referred to Palatka as the “Gem City”.
Nice stop.. new bathrooms…close to town.
The marina is small and has few transient slips, but it is inexpensive and has an owner working hard to improve the facilities. The new rest rooms are looking great!
Great place for a quick overnight stop. they are in the process of updating the laundry room and other areas. one bathroom is done and it is verry nice. will stay here again
Beautiful renovations underway, great bathhouse open now. Very helpful staff late on a Sunday allowing us the comfort of an overnight here to accomplish a long travel day. Palatka is trying to revitalize, recommend Azalea Brewery a short walk from the marina.
Best marina on the Saint Johns for a perfect sunrise and sunset on the face dock. Our Marine Trader docked here for three months in 2024, and after our Loop, we came back to spend a few more weeks. We love the helpful and friendly owners who gave us a lot of time getting our boat set up to Loop, and welcomed us back upon return. Recently, the bathrooms have gotten a face lift and have some of the best shower pressure we experienced on the Loop. There are more plans in place to update the boathouse and docks in the near future. The historical downtown area is a short walk away and a wonderful state park a near bike ride away. Truly, the Boathouse Marin is one of our favorite places to be.
Marlene and family are wonderful people we had a great stay there would highly recommend it place this is a great place to relax and get off the boat for a few days.
The boathouse for 30 days outside of some initial confusion I found the staff incredibly helpful and super nice The place is super clean and they were in the process of putting in some brand new bathrooms as well as having laundry on site And you can't beat the views right downtown historic palatka
Had a great stay as usual. Marina owners are very friendly and accommodating. It's "Old Florida" marina, not fancy but has all we needed and its close walking distance to Palatka downtown is perfect for short walks to restaurants, bars, small shops. Also the marina has a small grassy area for pets which works out good for a quick potty break for our little girl. I think they are slowly starting to make improvements and now also took over operations of the city marina a few hundred yards over
Good owners and maintenance personnel. They are very helpful to call and point out concerns to your boat. I do wish they were not full on electric supplied dock slips and could accommodate me but…
