While Marinas are a fixture on any island, the Norman’s Cay Marina is unmatched in all of The Bahamas with a level of quality and efficiency unattainable in other counterparts that have sprawled over time. Norman’s Cay Marina is roughly equivalent in size to that of Saint Barthelemy and Portofino and can host the entire range of boat sizes—including 60m+ luxury yachts and swooped sailboats. It currently accommodates 37 vessels and will grow to become a 63-slip marina. The marina, with its Brazilian Ipe wood docks, is surrounded by 4000 mangroves that lead to a coral stone path and lush native flora.
Whether it is the fishing enthusiasts looking for their big catch, a shallow flat looking for a bone, or the sun-seekers looking for our pristine white beach, Norman’s Cay has it all. The Norman’s Cay Marina provides much more than just the expedient arrival of guests, after all, where else can one land a jet on our 4,500-foot runway and find themselves on a boat in a secluded lagoon within ten minutes?
Unfortunately, Norman's Cay marina and Yacht Club sells fuel ONLY to its members. Dockwa's website advertises that both Diesel and Gasoline is available with prices. When we got there, the Dockmaster refused to sell us Gasoline for our dinghy making it difficult to see any part of the island. The marina docks were beautiful, but being restricted to the limited marina facilities made for a bad experience. Paying excessive rates, excessive restaurant prices, zero things to do made the situation worse. Charge me all the money but, give me all the service! Also, the property signage is terrible, we walked all around the island looking for the restaurant in 95 degree heat, not good for my wife or myself being in our mid seventies. We left one day early because of the fact that we couldn't get fuel for our dinghy. That being said, I believe we deserve a refund for one nights stay in their marina.
Really nice marina inside in great condition. The service was good not great, but power and water were great and proximity to the plane and Shroud is perfect. Just remember to call them on VHF 14.
Less than half a star! We left a day earlier and glad we did. Rude staff, negative energy throughout, nothing absolutely nothing available on premises. Zero assist at the dock. Word on the island is they're less than 2 months from full bankruptcy and staff keeps getting laid off by the numbers every week. Sad to see and hear. Will not be back unless we hear things change drastically
Beautiful Island can’t wait to come back again People there could not have been nicer. They were awesome.
Beautiful marina and excellent staff. Look forward to returning.
