I am writing to express serious concerns regarding the deteriorating conditions and safety risks at Cherry Creek Marina. Despite high slip rental rates, the services offered have steadily declined due to state park limitations, and the docks themselves are in poor condition and require immediate replacement.
Furthermore, water level management alongside the Army Corps of Engineers has created hazardous launching and retrieval conditions. The West Ramp was closed, leaving the East Ramp as the only option, where submerged rocks caused significant damage to my boat's propeller during retrieval. Slip fees should directly support infrastructure upkeep and water-hazard mitigation. I urge park and marina management to address these structural and safety issues promptly. Shawn O'Keefe
