ort of Rochester No fuel or pumpout $2.50/foot Nice sturdy floating docks. Keyed entry into the marina. Restaurants and shops in walking distance. There is a park across the street. Very nice. The staff met us and helped up dock. Had a problem with the power about an hour later and the dock hand immediately came over. It was a tripped breaker in the junction box. The transient wall is to the left of the entrance. The bathrooms and lounge are on the opposite side of the marina. It is a 10 minute walk to the bathroom, around the marina and past the restaurants.. Glad there were trash bins on our side, but a bathroom would be nice.

New marina with solid infrastructures but its in the middle of nowhere. It’s a cab ride to most shopping and all but a couple of restaurants. It’s a good waypoint to break upon the journey between the Western and Eastern end of Lake Ontario.

WOW! What a great marina. Cailyn was there waiting for us when we hailed on the radio. Al helped us with our lines. The cleats are adjustable on a track and he had his socket wrench if he needed to adjust them. They have a pump out so we used that as we drove into the marina. They do NOT have fuel. There is fuel at Shumway across the river. They have FREE Laundry! Extra Large washer and dryer. Beautiful boaters lounge with TV and sofa. Excellent service! Gates with a keycard are needed to enter the dock area and the boaters building. Ice cream & restaurant on site. The history of the marina- The docking area used to be a parking lot for the ferry that went to Canada. When that wasn't profitable they dug out the parking lot and added docks. We loved it and could have spent more time there. Many restaurants are within walking distance. We were told that Mr. Dominic's is the place for Italian but... It is closed on Monday's. (we arrived on Monday) It is on our list on our way back through next spring. We used DOCKWA to reserve the slip but we had to spend 3 days on the wall in Oswego waiting for a weather window. NO cancellation fees. I just kept Cailyn posted on our plans.

From the moment we hailed the marina on the radio : Al the dock master was fantastic . He helped us dock and gave us a tour of the facilities . The marina is really well maintained with floating docks and the boaters lounge with its bathrooms and showers are spotless . They offer free laundry and the seating area is very comfortable with a tv and books . There are restaurants and a grocery store all within walking distance too We will be back next time we are in the area

The marina at the Port of Rochester is the gem of the lakefront area of the city. The docks are beautiful, the area is well maintained and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. A bonus is the wide variety of nearby dining and entertainment options. You can sit on your boat and listen to the music of the nearby outdoor bar, hop off your boat for dinner at one of several restaurants and grab an ice cream at the famous Abbott’s custard. The indoor facilities of the marina have everything you could want or need as well! It’s the best place to be in Rochester for boaters!

We spent six weeks there in 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is plenty of water to maneuver in. The transient dock is a long facing dock on the west side of the basin. No worries. The staff is terrific. The shoreside attractions and services are very pleasant. It's a busy place though. If you want someplace quiet and serene, this is probably not it. But it is the best marina on the south shore of Lake Ontario. The only demerit is that it's quite a hike from the transient dock to the clubhouse. We're going back in 2020.

Next to the Annapolis Yacht Club, this has to be the best marina I have stayed in. It is relatively new (4years old) and state of the art. The city converted an old ferry terminal into a marina. The remodeled terminal building houses sitting room with phone, tv and free wifi (which is also available at the dock) and an assortment of books and boating reference guides, The building also has bathrooms with nice showers and free laundry. The docks have 50 amp power hook ups but the staff will provide a 50/30 splitter if needed. Cleats are movable on the floating docks and there a pilons between the slips. The marina is near many restaurants, as well as Ontario Beach and park. No fuel dock but they do have a pump out and the fuel dock is right across the harbor (100 meters).

Very nice. Noisy from the riff raff across the street but that’s not the marina’s fault. Very accommodating. New, functional facilities. Clean.

This is our second year and it is excellent. We would like to make a couple of suggestions: 1. Can you create a small M/F 2 stall washroom on the transient wall like the electrical box. It would make life much easier for the transients who don't fully use their washrooms. I know this is not an easy task but at least something to think about. 2. The men's washroom needs a couple more clothing hooks in the shower area. 3. On Saturday morning there was no toilet paper in the men's washroom. 4. When we arrived on Monday we found that a number of the local restaurants were closed. I would suggest that for boaters who arrive on a Monday that you set up a deal with a couple of local restaurants that are open, to have special coupons for the boaters to use. 5. The boater store was not open on Tuesday so we could not get any ice. We had to go to Shumway for it. Could you make some special arrangement for Tuesday's? 6. Boaters have money when on vacation. I would suggest that the marina set-up some special coupons ( not only the ones in the brochure) to encourage the boaters to use the local restaurants. A Monday - Wednesday coupon where you buy one entre and get the second free would be perfect ( the place will make up the shortfall in the drinks they will sell). 7. Why not an incentive for a boater who encourages another transient boater to use the facilities. For example, a transient referral who books for 3 or more days will result in the boater who referred them to receive a local restaurant coupon of $25. This has a double benefit. Thanks very much. We love the marina and will be back in 2019! Ron and Kim Coyne
