Friendly staff and nice facilities, including a great clubhouse/captain's lounge where we spent the afternoon relaxing after a challengin sail. Thanks very much for the hospitality. We'll be back!

Older fixed docks but perfectly fine. Pumpout right at your dock which was nice. We were standing out in the driveway discussing an almost one mile walk to a restaurant. A man asked if we wanted a ride. He turned out to be Brett the owner of the marina! What a nice guy! On the way in be careful not o go into a dead end to the left as you enter. We did that and so did another boat that came in right after us. Not a big deal to turn around,

Our stay was great!! The accommodations and and people were wonderful! It was a beautiful weekend in Solomons!!

In Solomons, Maryland, there are a bunch of marinas. Spring Cove is the farthest up the Saint John Creek. We chose it as it is adjacent to Zimmerman Boatyard. Zimmerman is a multi marina chain that does excellent work on boats, and our boat is going in for winterization and storage. This particular Zimmerman has something like six slips. Both Zimmerman and Spring Cove share the same gate and street address. The Spring cove slips are less than a hundred yards to to Zimmerman office. Spring Cove is an older marina but it’s very well maintained. Though it has fixed docks, the tidal swing for the three days we were there was not bad at about eighteen inches. The electrical system on the docks appears to be brand new. The Wi-Fi system is excellent. There’s a connection at each slip for pumping out the holding tank. The wooden docks and cleats are in excellent condition. The heads, showers, and laundry room are very well maintained. The office is also a nicely stocked Ship’s Store. Clearly, they have a liquor license. They also have a small kitchen that has an attractive menu for quick food. There’s a bar at the pool that, I’m sure, is a fun place “during the season.” Spring Cove is pet friendly. They have a picnic area with multiple picnic tables. It’s tree canopy is pretty lush. The trees keep the area protected from the sun… so good that they also did a great job scrambling our satellite receiver, which was docked under their shade. They put a lot of effort into keeping the place neat. For a 38 foot trawler and 50 amps, it was a very reasonable $118 a night. Though not like some brand new marinas, Spring Cove is an excellent marina, well worth the money. Oct 2024

I can always count on Spring Cove for professional handling and spic n span facilities. Loaner car for quick grocery run was a big plus this visit.

Booked a slip for 9/20/24 to 9/22. Spring Cove booked an indoor party on 9/21. Arrived with multiple lights flashing directly at our boat in a slip and others. When we spoke to the driver, he was extremely antagonistic towards us, a couple of sixty year olds! The party then continued. Very loud and long. There must be quieter marinas in Solomons especially one that doesn’t have a party room.

Great place stay. Friendly staff, clean restrooms (admiral highly approved), convenient location to town. Courtesy car too but we didn’t need it.

Nice clean facilities - new electric - friendly, helpful staff. Docks are in good repair but are old and therefore very tight to get into.

Great team and great service ! Addison responds quickly and confirmed my slip. When bad weather came in- I extended a day . Clean facility- and maybe the best ships store on the bay.

Good stay for 2 nights, staff meet us on arrival, pool and bikes are great, bathrooms & showers SUPER CLEAN. Happy to have inslip pumpout, but didn't get enough suction to work for us.

What a fabulous Marina - beautiful setting and facility. Easy walk to West Marine and into town. Clean showers, lovely pool and nice laundry! We are happy to now call this home marina every time we return to Solomon’s.

The staff was VERY helpful. The facility was wonderfully peaceful with its park-like setting. Zimmerman Marine operates a great service yard on the premise. The location of the facility up in Back Creek guarantees very little wake and provides storm protection. Great place to stay.

Although I received the standard Dockwa “We’re excited your coming….” the crew at Spring Cove was more surprised than excited. They managed some dock space for us. Pretty short.

First time at Spring Cove Marina and it was great. Marina answered VHF 16 quickly and provided clear directions to my slip, and had a knowledgeable dockhand there to help me get in. All staff were super pleasant and helpful, and we availed ourselves of the free shuttle (really nice service!). The bathrooms and showers were very clean, and no obnoxious combinations to get in. The bar onsite was fun and the local patrons were very friendly and welcoming. Fuel dock onsite and easily accessible. Back Creek is very quiet and calm, so even on the T-Head we were unbothered by traffic to any noticeable extent. The store has a great selection of t-shirts and bourbon! And not only are there grills onsite, there's a smoker - nice!! The grounds are significantly larger than it looks on their map, and the pools is very nice and big enough to swim laps. Wifi was not really usable, but I attribute that much more to OnSpot than the marina. The OnSpot wifi is universally terrible wherever we go, and in our home marina where a node is right next to our boat and is still awful. I usually default to another marina nearby when coming to Solomons, but I think I may switch to reserving at Spring Cove by default now! My wife and her friend really liked it too.

Spring Cove is a great marina. Disappointed the pool bar is not open during the week. However, everyone was helpful and ready to assist.

We enjoyed our stay at Spring Cove Marina, the staff was most helpful with docking and informative of the area. We took our bikes, and explored the area, found good restaurants and of course, ice cream. We will definitely stop here again.

Nice grounds & staff add in the personal touch things = good stuff. We didn’t really get to enjoy the pool or bar (short stay) great selection at the ships store too. My only suggestion would be adding raised racks @ showers verse the wet floor.

Our slip placement and subsequent view were one of several highlights of our visit. The staff were very helpful, the grounds and the pool were in perfect shape and the staff at boatyard graciously loaned a tool for completing a project. A couple of issues, one was the Wi-Fi, we were on a T pier and the connection was poor at best. Another issue was the shuttle service - we were advised at check in it ran Thursday through Sunday, when we went up around 6:30 on Thursday there was no one at main desk nor did anyone answer our calls to the shuttle phone #. As it was a steamy July evening a ride into town would have been most welcome. All in all we will visit again - the positives absolutely outweigh the negatives.

We've made a point to make the trip from Annapolis to SCM at least once each season - the green, shaded grounds, pool, tiki bar, helpful staff, pump-outs on every dock, free shuttle and bikes all keep us coming back to one of our favorite marinas on the Bay.

This was our second visit. We will come back, I hope! Very nice facility with friendly and helpful staff. Michael was very skilled an patient as he assisted with docking. Our group had a nice picnic and grilled our dinners at the pavilion. The men’s showers are pretty basic and the floors stay wet.

Friendly, efficient, and full service. We would definitely stay here again. Addison and his crew have been unfailingly helpful. This is a protected marina, with a nice local restaurant and a well stocked West Marine within walking distance.

Had a wonderful stay. We were met at our slip by one of the managers (Addison) who helped us dock and secure lines. Had a great spot on the T with good internet reception. The marina has all of the important needs (showers, store, etc). They have bikes to cruise to town (about a mile away) but we walked as the temperature was wonderful. The shuttle service to town was suspended as we are late in the season, but is another way to get to town during the season \n\nThe marina is family owned and they put the personal touch on your stay. We plan to go back to Solomons next year and will stay again!!

Other than the marina not answering our radio calls, it was lovely.

Beautiful property

This marina is upriver from the other marinas, tucked into a beautiful, peaceful cove, away from wakes. Baths and laundry facilities are very good, and the ships store is great! Very cute, quiet park setting, and easy bike ride to restaurants, hardware, grocery, pharmacy and liquor stores. The staff is very helpful and friendly.....a wonderful stop. We enjoyed it in the summer and returned on our way back south from Boston!

We had an excellent experience. This was our second time at Spring Cove Marina and it will be our marina of choice when coming to Solomons Island.

Nice place very convenient to the Calvert museum for concerts. Staff did a great job. Slip owner came back before 11 when we were told to check out by and was very rude and made the staff get a little pushy.

Wow! We had a great time at the marina and in Solomon’s Island. Spring Cove Marina staff were wonderful in getting us docked and checked in. It literally was a perfect experience. All the standard boat hookups were very convenient, nice restroom facilities, great pool, loved the free book exchange and Sunday breakfast.

Great marina, excellent staff. The grounds are very peaceful and well cared for. The marina manager, Jim is nice and willing to help. The docks are gradually being replaced- which is a good thing. Pump out available at each slip! We really like coming here - the pool is fantastic!

Beautiful marina, huge pool, pool bar, lots of shade. All of the amenities you could ask for, plus a full service boat yard hidden in the back.

Hailed the marina on the way in and people were on the dock to show us where to come in and help tie up. The fairways are a little narrow. Be conscious of where you're putting your boat as you line up to back into the slip. Loved the pool and the Tiki bar. Pump out at your slip is a great innovation.

So accommodating ,beautiful mature landscaping. Clean pool , great staff. We had to leave a day early due to weather and will receive a refund. Needed an AC tech and someone came on the boat in 15 min and diagnosed the problem, Katy.

Everything was great but we were there on a rainy day so never got to use the pool, pool bar, or nice looking bikes. Arrived after hours but had good pre instructions from dock master with easy tie up to a T slip. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Good wifi. Restaurant at next door marina was closed (Monday) but not too a long walk to town. Uber looked to be available if we wanted it.

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed the marina. Very clean grounds, dock hands were helpful, and office staff were great. We asked if we could stay another night, we thought we might have to take one of our pups to the vet, and they ensured us it was no problem. I received a text from the marina manager as well as he came over and spoke to us to let us know they are very dog friendly and understand our needs. Thye even offered to shuttle us to the vet in the monring. We did also take the shuttle to the restuant for the night. Pool bar was reasonable as well. We will be back!

Great facilities and location. I booked two nights but could only make one as the nor’easter made it impossible to travel. Marina refunded our one night. Thank you! Wish we could have stayed longer.

This is our 2nd stay at Spring Cove and it is always a pleasure. Very helpful from dock lines to service work. All the amenities are great (pool, bar, Captains lounge, laundry and loaner car) as well as you can’t beat the location on Solomons.

Spring cove Marina is a beautiful marina with super helpful staff - especially the friendly dock master. Clean showers. They have bikes to borrow so you can ride to the nearby state park. It is an easy walk into town where there are great restaurants.

5-Star Marina, as always. Returned to SCM in company with our friends and their yacht - found everything to be as expected or better! Met the new owners who are wonderful, fully engaged and very helpful. And all hands carried on the "always helpful" mantra. Dock Masters Jim and Addison made our slip assignments work very well and assisted greatly, as did Derrick. As usual, I presented management with an additional request, and I am very pleased with our now, extended stay! Couldn't be happier. Of note: Diesel $3.10 as of 4 OCT; Pool is open, but cool; Pool bar planning on being open weekends; Festivities in the works. Well done, SCM!

Excellent but a little far from town

Been there many times. The piers need some attention as well as some piles. Was told place just changed ownership. This place would be great with a floating dock system. Bathrooms were clean and pool was great. Shuttle into town was also great.

Absolutely love this place! The staff are fantastic, great community feel as there are many full-time residents - at least through the warm months! Full boat yard services, including recycling for both oil and engine coolant! A perfect stop over while you get your necessary maintenance done, while enjoying the pool and various social activities. Lots to do in Solomons, within walking distance. Highly recommend; making our reservations for 2022 already!

We were greeted at our slip by the dock attendant, he was great and very friendly. We used the free shuttle service to go to dinner and it was wonderful as well. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Marina. Definitely our favorite. Clean, accommodating, friendly staff and slip holders. All the amenities offered by other marinas we have visited included in one place. Great area with many fine restaurants and activities. The Best of the Best!

The facility was really nice. But the staff made this stop special. They had shuttle vehicles, bikes, and an employee even offered to drive us to town when her shift was over. They helped us with every question. We will highly recommend this marina to our friends.

We’ve always enjoyed our past stays at Spring Cove but this year it was just off. It took 20 minutes of idling time in the harbor before we got our slip assignment, then we were tucked back behind the Beacon Marina boat shed against a bulkhead wall near the travel lift. It was noisy listening to power washing boat bottoms all day and then our second day a giant lift was placed on the dock behind us as they cut down trees all day. The docks are in rough shape and showing there age, we had a number of loose boards on our catwalk. I was told it’s u see new management and hopefully they get it worked out. Solomons is a great town and has rebounded of the past couple years and really an enjoyable anchorage.

Very nice facility. Private bathrooms, pool side bar was a great perk. Dock side pump out available at your slip was extremely convenient. Although we did not use the grills, there was gas available for grilling. Very convenient ships store with Ice, Water, Wine and souvenirs. I’ll be back.

Nice, friendly marina. Used their pool daily and took the courtesy shuttle to town twice. Nice barbecue grills available and clean bathrooms.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Facility has a loaner car that can be used for one-hour to make trips to town for provisioning, only a $10 charge, and this is a very nice amenity. Facility is well maintained and very clean.

This place has always been good but is under new management and they are great. Booking was easy - the confirmation email had all the info we needed. They kindly gave me a bulkhead because I’m injured. Jim on the fuel dock is great. We will be back again soon.

My husband and I enjoyed the past weekend cruising the Bay and got an overnight slip at Spring Cove Marina in Solomons. It was awesome! Spring Cove surpassed our expectations--easy docking, helpful staff, beautifully kept grounds, clean and private bathrooms/showers, amazing pool and bar with gorgeous view, great store and more! Thanks to Spring Cove's courtesy shuttle, we were able to explore the town and had a great dinner at CD Cafe. The owners and staff were so accommodating, friendly and professional--it was obvious that their focus was to make sure all guests and slip owners had the best experience. Shout out to Addison and the entire Spring Cove team. Thank you! Can't wait to return!

What a beautiful harbor. The dock hands were very helpful in securing our boat in strong winds. They even selected a spot that would be more user friendly for the weather. The office manager was friendly and welcoming. She gave us great instructions for our walk to the island and The Pier. The marina is clean and convenient. They offer a courtesy car.

Stayed for 2 days with 95 degree heat. Pool was a welcome amenity. Nice gift shop and lovely grounds. Some docks need new deck boards but it looks like they are working on it. Fun stay.

We stayed at Spring Cove for three weeks while waiting for parts. Very nice marina. Excellent staff. Well thought out general store/gift shop. Nice and clean bathrooms. Great open spaces with lots of trees, grills, picnic areas. Will stay again when in the area.

Spring Cove benefits from a wonderful setting with shaded picnic areas, pool with a great view, plus tiki bar with live music. I highly recommend a visit. That said, the fairways are tight, the finger piers are short and the docks could use some maintenance. I requested a slip for a 40`footer for our 36` with dingy on davits. When calling for our slip assignment the dockmaster repeatedly mentioned backing in so we did only to f8nd a 3' finger pier that barely reached past our dinghy. By the time we figured this out it was a bit late to turn the boat around so we just endured the gymnastics of climbing DOWN the side of the boat to jump on the finger. The process was further complicated by a loose board we called to their attention twice and were told it would be fixed but was still flopping when we departed.

Too bad we are in delivery mode to get south or we would have stayed longer at this very quaint marina. Very clean and good value. A good vibe to this place!

We limped in to Spring Cove Marina four years ago quite by chance as we had some prop damage. Immediately we were treated by the staff with respect, efficiency and a smile. We are still here! We love it. The park-like grounds are relaxing, well-maintained and as attractive in the Fall as they are in the high Summer with floral colour dotted throughout the gardens. The pool and bar area is a great place to hang out on a hot summer's day and the standard of the bathroom and laundry facilities is second to none. They are constantly being cleaned by the Spring Cove team who are all easily identifiable in their uniforms. We have had a number of mechanical jobs done on the boat - all of which have been more than satisfactory and cost-effective. It is with huge regret that we will leave this marina at the end of this season as we are selling our boat. It's been an absolute pleasure to be here and we would certainly highly recommend Spring Cove Marina as a stopover or even better, a home base.

An Amazing Experience! I work for MarineMax in Baltimore. We brought some of our customers to Spring Cove for a Getaway! weekend. Our experience there was nothing shy of perfection. Dock hands waited for us on our approach, an eager staff was there to attend to anything we might need, and the pool was cool and refreshing. We stayed at Spring Cove Marina with several other boats coming back from St. Michaels(july 19th, Boat name Tramp) only stayed one night, wish it could have been longer. Loved the grounds, pool, gift shop, the staff, dock hands were especially nice and helpful. Oh, did I forget to say how clean the showers/bathrooms were! And, I liked that they were individual, nice touch! We will be back! It's a long haul from Hampton, VA but my husband and I think it is well worth it! Hope to see you soon! Candace and Henry Hudgins

It was with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to Spring Cove at the start of our 17th year as slipholders as we were moving from the area. We cannot give enough accolades to this fine marina, truly the best of the Chesapeake Bay and even the East Coast (as we have sailed it from New Jersey to the Bahamas). The setting itself is beautiful, with park-like grounds, tropical landscaping, and a swimming pool, all immaculately maintained. Everything --from the private bathrooms to the well-stocked ship’s store to the Wheelhouse poolside bar and grill--is designed with the comfort of the slipholder or transient in mind. While the marina itself is beautiful, its most valuable asset is the staff. Trevor and Liz, the owners of Spring Cove and both bluewater sailors, take a hands-on approach to running their marina, and their attention to detail shows. Their dedication is echoed in the dock crew, office, shop, and bar staff, who are all unfailingly courteous and helpful. In addition, Spring Cove has a terrific yard crew. They are professional and knowledgable, and no matter how busy they may be, they are willing to take the time to listen and to offer their expertise. We simply cannot say enough good things about Spring Cove, so we encourage everyone reading this to experience it for yourselves. You will not find a better marina. Eric & Ann

Stayed for 2 nights. Everybody was helpful and polite. Yard manager was great with getting the AC fixed. The the travel lifts guys kept my 2 boys entertained for hours. Pool was nice, bath houses were clean , good coffee. Easy walk to museum and dinning options.
