We spent 3 days here waiting out the rains and winds that followed hurricane Debbie up the coast. It was a great place to stop.
The dockmaster and his team were extremely helpful. Tying up was easy. On the second day, when 30 mph wind gusts were forecast, the dockmaster recommended reversing the boat so it pointed into the wind. He brought a team down accomplished that without ever completely untying the boat.
The marina is co-located with the private Sakonnet Point Club but $25 gets you a temporary membership for your stay. The heads, showers and pool are then available. All are in good condition. The club’s restaurant is outstanding and definitely worth a visit.
