Salt Ponds Marina Resort is conveniently located in Hampton, Virginia (VA), right off the Chesapeake Bay. Making it a perfect stopping point whether you are traveling south through the Intracoastal Waterway or heading for points north of the Bay. The Marina has all FLOATING DOCKS with wide FULL-LENGTH FINGER PIERS & rubber rub rails. We welcome both transient and long-term tenants, accommodating vessels up to 110 feet.

Nice enough people, good location, but it is very rundown, worried about putting my foot through the dock as they are completely rotted.
A little run down but clean. The dock staff were friendly and helpful. Easy in and out from bay. Overall not bad.
Great hospitality. Nice slip. Good directions. Met by an employee who helped with lines. Got some ice and beer, right on time. The coffee in the morning was a nice touch.
The docs were kind of old. The restaurants been closed for years. the town of Hampton wasn’t really impressive and was a $20 Uber ride. The showers were dated but OK the Wi-Fi was virtually nonexistent.
Beautiful protected marina within walking distance to. Public beach on the Chesapeake. Walmart delivered provisions from their Hampton store.
great stop coming or going onto the Chesapeake. Easy access, well-protected. Facilities better than average. Good fuel prices.
The marina itself was nice, people very friendly . Easy to get Instacart to pick up groceries from Food Lion and have them delivered.
This marina I'm sure was once a great place at one time you can see It in it’s bones. The website is not representative of the actual condition of the marina. The docks are in disrepair, voltage on our pedestal was low, showers in the club house were ok, but definitely not cleaned on a daily basis they were constantly dirty and with the pool not exclusive to the marina. The showers in bath houses were filthy and exceptionally hot, air conditioning was either non existent or set high enough that you were sweating after you got out of the shower. in other areas of the marina were dirty, Wifi was spotty at best. The staff was friendly and pleasant. We would not recommend this location to a friends or others.

We stayed at Salt Ponds Marina for over a week while waiting for a changeover of crew. It’s a beautiful spot, very convenient to the Bay, and is within easy walking distance of a beach and boardwalk. The staff were helpful and the bathrooms clean. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m passing through Hampton. Kate s/v Green Dolphin
Stumbled across this marina last fall. Very casual atmosphere and a very pleasant staff willing to go out of their way to help in any way possible.
Very nice Marina with excellent marsh views and good clean facilities. Well located as a jumping off point for the Southern Bay. Nearby public beach. Try Heavenly Pizza 30min walk away (or quick Uber ride) which has great beer and excellent pizza, plus plenty of local character!
