Report Review
The first clue should have been when it took the marina more than 48 hours to confirm or deny the reservation request. That reservation request was completely clear that our boat length is 51’ AND that it requires a 50-Amp hookup. There was no 50-Amp available to us, and the slip was simply way too small in both length and width. The dockhand was of little help and did a minimal job of tying us up; couldn’t leave us fast enough after loosely tying two lines. So we used a splitter that we had on board that barely worked if we didn’t use all our equipment. Since the slip was way too small for our boat our only option was to dock stern first, which required us to walk on the OUTSIDE of our deck rails to get to the minimal finger pier. It was very dangerous. Upon leaving, of course the pump out would not work. No surprise. All that said, the dinner at The Black Duck was excellent!
