Claim this MarinaSince 1965, the French Creek Marina has grown to become so much more than just a marina. It's your destination for camping, trailering, boating, diving, all things marine and marine mechanical.
We are a full service marina and campground located on the St. Lawrence River 14 miles East of Lake Ontario.
Heinz was a life saver. Although I couldn't get into the marina due to the size, the repair and service staff went out of their way to help me get back on my great loop adventure. please contact them if you need help!
The water is low which is no fault of the marina. There is a pumpout that doesn't work but yet the town pumpout is free. Dockwa makes it easy and the price is much better than town docks. I think where to put your garbage is the biggest concern. There used to be a bin but it no longer there. If you need parts, this is the place to go.
This stay was predicated by a big boating event in Clayton that brought 110 speed boats to town so we could not get into our preferred marina. It started off poorly. High water had the fixed docks nearly awash. Then the ,50 amp service didn't work. Or the water. If we had any choice we would have bagged it. Then everything got better. Heinz the manager (owner?) came out with the good news/bad news. Seems because of high water, our arrival (July 18) was the first day they could open to transients. He promised us he'd have the electricity and water working by dinner time. And he did. It's a small place with friendly staff. Things are not in great shape or I'd give it 5 stars. It has all the essentials except fuel. Pump out, showers, laundry and walking distance to the Antique Boat Museum and town. Try it out.
