Report Review
Professional, experienced and knowledgeable dock hands and staff are found here and are truly a real pleasure to encounter. We have traveled a large portion of the AICW since 2014 and dock a month or so at marinas we find acceptable. This is one of our favorite stops. It is a beautiful location looking West over a vast marsh. The marina power and water are dependable and Zachry’s restaurant borders the property. Other island restaurants, in our preferential order, are Driftwood Bistro (now closed), Tribuzio’s, Sunrise Grill, Zachry’s, Wee Pub, Tortuga Jack’s, The Wharf and Eighty Ocean. The beach, abundant wildlife and turtles (season May-Oct) are a real treat for early risers on the island. A complimentary golf cart is provided for the short trip to “market square” from the marina and if you have a car, there is free parking. During our last visit “pot holes” up to 16” deep became a trying challenge but hopefully this problem has now been remedied. There is also a rather aggravating tolI of $10 for cars entering the island. All of the experienced staff strongly reflect the owner’s orientation toward outstanding southern courtesy and we look forward to returning.
