While en route to the marina we were struck by lightning and had to delay our arrival by a few days while we made emergency repairs. Rivers Edge Marina was very accommodating for our schedule change and were very helpful in receiving several packages for us. Next time we are in St. Augustine we will be very happy to return to Rivers Edge!
On the Loop. We found Rivers Edge to be a delightful, small marina with good, floating face dock (we are 55’ and self contained). Nothing fancy. Current and wind much less than City Dock. 10 minute walk to Winn Dixie. 20 minute walk to downtown. Easy Uber pickups. Paul was great to work with.
The marina is a little worn, but serviceable. The fuel dock is really difficult for a 55 foot boat. It would have been nice if the discount at Hurricane"s was explained to only cover drinks. Otherwise a good stay!
Very pleasant. Although the docking and departure is quite treacherous in a 42 ft SV with no thruster. Even with a straight in shot at our assigned slip. There is a constant current in there. I did not enjoy that at all !
Very friendly folks, laundry on site, restaurant/bar with great food and drinks on site, close walk to Winn Dixie and west Marine, longer walk or short Uber to downtown. Only downside for us was a tight slip with pilings at the stern we couldn’t reach (bow in sailboat) made it a little tricky to get out, but overall I would stay here again.
Great Marina and Paul the dock master was wonderful !
Nice little marina walking distance to Winn Dixie one direction and Old Town the other. Very helpful people. Enjoyed a Holiday Painkiller and dinner at Hurricane Patty’s. Nice that it was open Christmas Eve.
Dock master Paul was very accommodating with getting us into a slip at short notice. Marina has stores at walking distance to provision. No problem with Urber pickups with a short ride into the Old Historic St Augustine city. 👍🏼⛵️
Friendly staff, clean restrooms, close to restaurants and shopping.
Great Marina! Very hospitable, relaxed and close to shopping etc. Downtown St Augustine is only 1 mile away.
Great Location. short Uber ride to St Augustine tourist attractions, there’s a West Marine near by, Provisioning was easy at Winn Dixie, also got some used equipment from Sailors Exchange.
very friendly folks and good washrooms/showers. Well located.
A quieter marina far enough away from the city, but close enough to walk (15 min). Bath house and laundry were adequate. Docks were a little run down. Paul the dock master was a nice guy and very helpful.
Paul the harbormaster is probably one of the most helpful and kind fellas we've met on our push south. Proximity to groceries, parts, shopping, restaurants, etc is ideal. We will be back.
Had wonderful help when we arrived, Paul (dockmaster) was great with information. No fuel here was the only downside. Uber every where. Hurricane Patty’s restaurant has excellent food! We enjoyed!!
Good location - easy walk to the historic downtown, grocery store, Home, West Marine and other stores. Paul and other staff were very nice and helpful. We will return.
Paul was great helping us in! Facilities are neat and clean. People are friendly! Walking distance to downtown, grocery, and West Marine.
Other than the muddy boat ramp being unusable during anything other than high tide, I always enjoy my stay here.
Great location and protected area. Fun restaurant too
Great dock. Lovely friendly calm Marina, close to shops and restaurants and in walking distance of St Augustine attractions.
I’d really give it 4.5, as the floating docks at East end are weathered, but completely useable. As always, Paul (DM) is a superstar, giving excellent instructions as to where our slip was, and being there to help. Current is not bad; maybe 1/2 knot across the docks. Hurricane Patty’s is AMAZING, and you get 10% off your meals there. Love the little outdoor bar for hanging with other peeps, as well. Laundry was adequate, 2W/2D and good pricing ($1.75 wash/$1 dry). Restrooms/showers good and clean. This place has great location as well - Winn-Dixie, West Marine, pet shop within in 1/2 mile, plus lots of eateries. Highly recommend.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. There are courtesy bikes which makes grocery shopping easy.
The management discourages transient stays. No one to help us even when we requested, and the docks are in poor condition, deteriorated and cleats broken or missing. They made us feel unwelcome.
Made a mistake on the fuel issue but OK. Worked well for an overnight. Close to grocery store and uber to get into St. Augustine. Mens bathroom is under construction.
This is a solid marina, with floating docks and easy access to Winn Dixie and West Marine. It's a bit further to the old St Augustine part often, but not that bad. Lots of cool places to stop along the way. Another plus is the San Sebastian River does not flow as hard as the Tolmato, so docking and undocking are a breeze.
George helped us tie up on arrival. He was friendly and helpful. The he marina is about a 1 mile walk to the center of St. Augustine. The docks were ok but could use updating. The parking lot is dusty and sandy. Passable marina but not our favorite.
Dock master met and helped us dock our boat. Gave us the rundown on services and a 10% discount for their onsite restaurant. We did not eat there but it looked like the house was full.
