Anchorage Inn & Marina

Clay the dock master was great! We came in with a fleet of boats all at the same time and he was orchestrating parking and fueling. We were all parked fairly quick. The pool was clean and the burger at Smacknallys was great!

Great marina in a great location. The dockmaster, Clay, was tremendous. Will definitely stay again!

Docks are a bit old, but Clay, the Dockmaster, was very accommodating and helpful! He went above and beyond to help us. Dock was centrally located. Restrooms and showers are across the street by the hotel.

Clay, the dockmaster was very nice. Marina is right behind a good restaurant and pretty much at the beginning of the town. I would recommend

The stay was not good. The marina is short staffed and the person that is there has zero customer service skills. Unless you're docked on the 3 slips on the outside perimeter, the marina has trouble with boats over 23 foot. The spacing is extremely tight.

We just happened to be here during the busiest time of the year (4th of July week) so our experience might be different than someone who comes here during the off season. Ok for the dogs but we had to walk a ways to find grass for them. The marina walkway leads straight to the busiest street on the island and there was lots of traffic. Again, probably from the fact that it was the week of 4th of July. Dockhands were friendly and apologetic when we had to turn our boat around to a port side tie because our bow pulpit stuck out too far in the waterway. We'll come back during the off-season.

The DM and staff are very accommodating, the facilities are good, but the very spotty internet leaves much to be desired.

This is a very cool and laid back place. Plenty to see and do with a Jimmy Buffet vibe. Thanks to Clay and Richard for all the help, especially for accommodating an extended stay due to the weather. Try SmacNallys bar for lunch or dinner on-site. FYI, these are fixed docks with pilings. Have your fender boards ready if your on the face docks.

Dock hands very attentive. Water and power first rate. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is they don’t have WiFi, no pump-out and no laundry.

We recently stayed for two nights during the music festival. The communication arriving was great, responsive and helpful. The crew could not have been more accommodating. They are friendly, ready to help and always smiling. We will be returning many times this summer.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Easy to navigate and the island is beautiful.

There are three main docks with finger piers, and a narrow alley between the docks. At first glance it seems like a huge docking challenge, but the very helpful dock hands made it a breeze. The pool was nice for the kids, but we never used the showers.

Very low key marina. They have a pool that is shared with the hotel across the street. They have showers and bathrooms but we did not use them. Great location, easy to get around. There is a golf cart rental place right next door as well. Dock hand was very helpful in docking which was tricky due to the wind. Great restaurant on site too!

Our first time sailing to Ocracoke. We had a great weather window to sail from Beaufort to Ocracoke Island. Dockmaster Clay was very professional and helpful in getting us in and out of the lateral side tie dock at the Anchorage Inn & Marina. Shower and bathroom facilities were well kept and clean. I suggest timing your arrivals and departure with the Ferry schedule. If you depart just after 0730 you can follow the last one out, but overall the approach channel is well marked. It is challenging if you plan to do any day sailing however b because of how deep into the pier a sailboat must go in order to reach the 50 or 30 amp power pedestal.

Very helpful & friendly staff

Although the fixed docks do not have cleats, we had a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was tough timing when the ferries were coming in and out but the channel had been recently dredged and was navigable. The on site restaurant was fantastic!

Dock and power acceptable. Not much else there. Restrooms were dirty, shower broken, hand drying broken, etc.

Wow. Our first time to the Outer Banks, and we had a fantastic experience here at the Anchorage Inn & Marina. Clay and Robert helped get us in and secure, and gave us some great advice on how to squeeze the most out of the town. Our timing was perfect because things had not yet gotten busy, but restaurants and attractions were mostly open – gearing up for the peak season.

We LOVE the Anchorage Marina! The staff is very helpful and accomodating. The facilities are first rate. Pool and bar right at the docks is excellent. Mostly, the staff was just outstanding and very helpful with all of our needs. We were chartering a boat so our needs probably exceeded those of the average boating expert, but they treated us like we were old friends and were glad to help us any way they could. Can't wait to return next year.
