Super convenient mooring location to town. Poor communication regarding mooring assignment and identification. Tugboat could prepare their staff better. The staff did the best they could.
Awesome stay in Boothbay Harbor. Very smooth very protected. Great location to get around the city. Definitely will come back again.
Ease to mooring access, excellent human exchange, very nice surroundings.
We used a mooring. They are difficult to find and no late afternoon assistance was available. The moorings of other marinas are far more visible and identifiable.
Very convenient location. We were assigned mooring 22, but discovered a boat on it when we arrived. The staff were very helpful in finding us an open mooring, but did say the moorings end up kind of first come first served.
Marina and docks are a bit tired. Dockhand helped with lines, but did not help with electric until after we plugged it all in and had no power. Had to find him to ask for help. Breakers for our electric were not on the same post and not in an obvious spot. Heads were dated and seemed clean although it is unusual to charge for shower water, using quarters for time. Expensive laundry (did not use). Nice location close to town and restaurants. After our arrival, we did not see any staff at all. Marina is open to anyone walking down, did not appear to have security. This marina is priced similarly to others in Boothbay Harbor who do not charge for showers and have other amenities. I would stay elsewhere next time I visit Boothbay Harbor.
My first time on a mooring as opposed to a dock in the past. The mooring balls markings are all faded and difficult to read. I remember last season they were faded and needed painting. This staff as always is great to work with just fix the mooring ball situation. Thank you.
Friendly staff, close to downtown, food laundry and shower facilities
Listed in the amenities is launch service but there is no launch service so be aware. Moorings are very close to dock and downtown. Staff is friendly and helpful. Laundry is expensive, $5.50 for a wash.
Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time. Docks are old but gave you the feeling of old time boating. Easy access to our slip. Surprised to fine showers and laundry are coin operated. Close to all activity in town and restaurants.
Friendly, helpful staff and clean showers. We always stay here.
Great staff working the docks . Very helpful. Always enjoy staying at Tug Boat
We come back to the Tug Boat every season at least twice. It's always clean and comfy. Love the roof top bar and all the amenities. Excellent place to stay
Stayed on a mooring in one of their deep water spots, which are a couple minute tender ride (mine) from the dinghy dock. No map on their website to figure out where the mooring was but they lead us via skiff once we got in touch with them. Mooring was well cared for, bathrooms were clean and staff were helpful. Great spot about a 5 minute walk from the main part of town.
After tying to a mooring and finding ourselves too close to a lobster buoy, we asked for guidance on a better location. The dockmaster came out in a skiff and pointed out multiple other options. There are so many mooring balls in Boothbay Harbor it was very difficult to understand whose was whose. We greatly appreciated the help.
Favorite mooring of our Maine cruise so far. First time coming into the harbor, so Peter came out in the skiff to show us to the mooring and then helped me with the line when I kept missing 🙄! It got pretty windy when we were there but we were well protected. Short dinghy to dock and close to town. Will definitely return!
Wonderful marina. Walking distance to restaurant and shopping. Dick master and staff very helpful.
We stayed at a mooring, there were several to grab, but there were private moorings in the area so you have to watch the way you swing. Both Peters were super friendly and helpful. The showers, heads, and laundry were al super clean, if a little dated. Part of boothbay charm though! The dinghy dock had plenty of room, it was just a little rickety. But I would return! Super close location to town
