Tom and the dock team were terrific. We look forward to our next visit.
Great dock workers and a fabulous restaurant! Launch boat drivers were pros and fast! Amelia at the dock was very nice and helped us with docking, trash, diesel and ice! Will be back next year (for our 4th year).
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at IBYC this July. Tom and his team were very responsive to all of our questions leading up to our arrival and during our stay. The location is amazing and very welcoming. Will be back again next summer!
I was favorably impressed by the IBYC facility and commend the waterfront staff which is friendly and accommodating. Transient moorings are along the channel on the north side of the mooring field, and be advised that the tidal current is quite strong. The moorings themselves are the big "drum" type in which the pennants can be nested. Despite the size of the mooring field, launch service to and from the mooring is prompt (and free - which is a nice touch). Once at the dock house, guests are issued a key card that provides access to the gangway and bathroom facilities. I recommend the effective bug repellent that is available for purchase at the dock house, since blood-seeking flies are fierce between the full moons of July and August! On Friday morning, I asked the Club if I could lie along the dock for an hour or two to complete some varnish work on my boat's "eyebrows" and the staff was very accommodating. Tie-ups at the dock are normally limited to fifteen minutes.
Friendly staff, great use of restaurant and bathrooms. We will definitely stay here again!
Wonderful scenic location with prompt and attentive launch service to/from shore. The Yacht club includes a wonderful club house with food and a spectacular view.
Great stay at IBYC. Great staff and good dining at the club. Beautiful area in Plum Island sound. Would come back just for the Caesar salad!
Outstanding, the entire IBYC crew made us feel welcome. The facilities are first rate. New mooring, barrel style that keep the mooring line clean and dry. Timely launch service, member pricing for fuel and a full service bar and restaurant
This is my second stay with Ipswich Bay Yacht Club. Tom is exceptional at his job of managing the dock! Alway helpful and pleasant.
A very interesting gem of a club. Club house up on highground. Good reasonable food. Very attentive servers. Somewhat interesting approach -few shallow spots. Hug Cranes beach side on way in and out OR planfor high tide! Launchavailable. Very reasonable. Only 70 miles to Harpswell and Down East Maine. Oh forgot true Ipswich clams! Superb! Plus a great sunset.! available.
Absolutely perfect! Beautiful club and professional staff!
Spacious mooring area, convenient launch service, professional and friendly staff, all utilities are in good shape. Thank you.
Great Group of launch boat operators and dock hands. I would highly recommend this to my fellow boaters.
The staff was very welcoming to us and we couldn't have asked for anything more! I highly recommend the IBYC.
Very well run. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Launch wait is always short even on busy days.
Dock people and launch driver were very courteous but busy. No real information for transient cruisers (shower location, whether you are nor are not welcome for club meals, dinghy dock, etc.). Something in the email confirming the reservations describing these kinds of things would be appreciated and would allow you to leave the staff alone. Also, no one said anything about how to get back to dock in the evening (card lock I later discovered) so I had to hunt down someone in the dining room who called down to the dock house for me. I was then told I could have obtained an electronic card for a $40 deposit but that is not very helpful either unless you are leaving when they are around and you don't mind another trip to the dock just to swap cards for deposit. I think they could come up with a better system there. The bathroom and shower are separate and pretty dated but clean and in good working order. The shower room was a bit claustrophobic - definitely one at a time! Overall, a very beautiful and pleasant stay. If sailing, you HAVE TO come in only at high tide -- some very shallow spots even at full high -- another hour either side and a 5 foot draft would be skidding or worse.
The crew managing the dock and launch we're friendly and professional.
Albeit a qucik stay with less than stellar conditions - once again we were made to feel welcome and a part of the IBYC family. Thanks Tom!
