Bar Harbor |
The mooring ball was fine and the dockmaster was very nice to work with. The negative was having lobster pots throughout the mooring field and have a lobster boat come within a few feet of our boat several times to drop his pots where they were actually hitting our swimdecks. That is dangerous and unacceptable! Fortunately, we were able to leave this morning but we were waked hard at 5 am by lobster boats. We know this is Maine and that's their industry, but it made for a very unwelcoming stay in Bar Harbor. We will not come back to Bar Harbor due to this.
Thanks Jimi, friendly and accommodating service. Wish I could have stayed longer
Chris was always on top of anything I needed. Excellent stay.
The dock master was so helpful, suggesting several marinas to stay at to ride out Ernesto’s seas. Location was great!
Mooring ball was fine. Dinghy dock a bit crowded with lobster boats in the evening but never a problem finding a spot. Would have been nice to have a launch.
Jim, Chris are very nice to have given us the best slip in the harbor.
Jimmy the harbormaster is amazing. Super nice and helpful.
The staff was wonderful. They called us as we arrived at the harbor to direct us to their moorings and let us ship some parcels to their office. The dinghy dock is well-maintained and in easy dinghy distance from the mooring field. We would definitely stay here again.
Great stay, awesome town, nice harbor. Harbor master (Jimmy) was very helpful before the trip and on arrival, had cones marking slip and power extension if needed. There is no water hookup. Great stop!
Quick ride to the town dingy dock. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff! The mooring field is close to lobster pots and the path of the cruise ship life boats ferrying passengers so can be bumpy.
Great spot for access to the town and lot of stuff going on to watch.
Nice stay! Friendly Harbormaster and staff.
hsd trouble with lobster pots tied around the mooring but asst harbor master Chris was very helpful.
Not the most pleasant. Lobster boats passing full throttle leaving big wake behind. Acadia is magnificent.
Great place. The dock master on duty, Chris, was so virtuous and helpful.
Lobster buoys surrounding mooring, wrapping around rudder. No services except water. Fuel next door only has high speed nozzle. No wake zone not respected. Limited space at dinghy dock. Occupied by commercial dinghies.
