As a brand-new customer at Pistakee Marina in Fox Lake, I was expecting a place to park my boat.
What I didn’t expect?
• Staff that actually answer the phone.
• Zero drama.
• And a marina that runs smoother than my boat after it’s tuned up.
From day one, they made me feel like I wasn’t “the new guy who doesn’t know how to dock.” No judging. No eye rolls. Just helpful, friendly people who clearly love boating as much as the rest of us.
The location is unreal. You’re basically on the Chain O’Lakes launchpad. Within minutes, we were cruising, fishing, and pretending we knew what we were doing.
The docks are clean. The layout is easy. The whole place feels secure. And the atmosphere? Perfect mix of laid-back and professional — like, “Have fun… but also we’ve got our stuff together.”
My only complaint?
Now my family expects to be on the boat every weekend.
If you’re thinking about a slip in Fox Lake, stop thinking and just call them. Pistakee Marina made this new customer feel like a boating pro (even though I’m definitely not).
