Skipjack Resort Suites & Marina

Not a very great stay. Payed for boat slip for the week at arrival the gate was locked no one around. We had to go to public ramp in gulf side to launch boat in the water. There is 0 amenities included, for power it’s an additional 10 dollars a day, the poles on dock are like loose teeth. There are no bumpers of any sort or rope, I’d think that would be included for 100$ a day. On the day of departure I arrived back to dock at 330pm sept 10th I made several phone calls to resort attempting to give them a heads up to unlock gate that I was on my way, no answer. I called 5 or 6 times to dock master as well as the front desk no answer, I took my boat out again at the gulf side ramp never used skipjacks ramp one time. I then received a call back from dock master on sept 11th at 830 am asking if I called and needed anything. He then tells me no one was there working that day after 12pm. And it should not be that way. I was told Military discount would be applied but then the women at doc master “Dawn” said we were already getting a good rate they can’t do that. The guy I booked it through told me specifically that “Dawn” would make everything right for you guys. That she did not, she was very rude and nasty over the phone, like they were busy I never once saw a doc master on doc my entire week there. Dawn also explains to me that the guy that told me she would make it right did not know what he was talking about, so when dawns gone they have people running the place that have no clue what they are doing. On top of all that the elevators were down for first 4 days we stayed and put on the 4th floor no updates nothing. Also no we’re online says that the hotel is under construction. Would recommend to anybody to stay as far away from this place they are making a racket. I know I’ll never stay here again

Absolutely amazing! The staff is so helpful with launching and assisting with take out. Dock space was perfect and easy in and out. Thank you for the great hospitality and we will be back next year. Thank you!!

From the moment we arrived to our departure the marina staff were attentive to our needs and answered all our questions. The Blu Bistro restaurant on property served very good food at reasonable pricing. Boat slips all had electric, water and pumpout stations, clean laundry facilities at $2.25 a load. Highly recommend for your transit stay.

Clean, quiet and calm waters.

I just recently stayed at Skipjack Marina. They have updated their property to my pleasant surprise. They have new modern washers and dryers, delicious cocktails at the newly renovated Tiki Bar and the staff was superb. Dawn the dockmaster was great and easy to reach. We will be back for sure next year!

This is a beautiful spot and one of the most protected locations in Marathon. We made an afternoon crossing from Everglades City and the Dockmaster, Carla stayed late on a Sunday evening to help with our lines. Carla enlisted the help of several other boaters and we were tied up in fast order. It was very windy during our stay and we were glad to be in a protected slip. It’s not fancy but it is clean and the staff is friendly. There is a beautiful pool with a poolside bar and restaraunt and we had dinner at the restaraunt which featured Greek food that was delicious.

To call this a “resort “ is a stretch. The place is in need of a major uplift and staff needs “resort “ training. The pricing is reasonable and the bar staff is awesome. Besides that, not much to enjoy, the showers/bathrooms that the boaters use are a disaster as is the property grounds, with personal hazards abound, broken glass, and rotted wood

Dock was great. Pool was very nice. Rest of facility was tired. Restaurant closed. Staff was very helpful. Got pumpout out of scheduled time.
