MacKaye Harbor/Barlow Bay can be a very pretty spot to drop your hook. Mind the obstructions and depths as the bay shallows and dries at LW to the south. Anchor in about 15 to 20 feet LW with good holding. If a SW or WSW wind is blowing up on the Strait a swell can work into the bay that may be uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the MacKaye Harbor Public dock shown is not public, it's for locals only. Same with the other two piers. There is a county trailer boat ramp with access to the local road on the ENE side of the bay with a small dingy dock. You can tie up there and go for a walk, but remember that the dingy dock dries on the eastern end at low water. There is good crabbing in the bay-but keep that a secret.
