Harborage Marina

Well protected from the elements, easy access, floating docks, great location with easy access to downtown St Pete and friendly staff.

Great Marina. Staff very nice and helpful. Only criticism would be that having the bathrooms needing a key is a little bit of a pain, especially when there is more than one person. We only got one key so had to coordinate with showers and then return from showers. The bathrooms are located outside the gates for the docks so with one key, when a couple goes to shower, one has to wait for the other to return to the boat because both people need a key to get back through the gate. I get the need for security, however, it makes for a complicated shuffle. Maybe provide two keys or use codes like most marinas do and provide the code to your customers so they all have access. It won't keep us from coming back, but it would be an improvement to the experience. Thanks!

Very delightful place! Staff and other boaters are very friendly. Can walk to many restaurants, grocery, post office etc. laundry on site. I’ve never stayed at a cleaner place. They are always cleaning the restroom - major and minor cleanings during the day.

The location is excellent and the staff very helpful, but the Marina in general dirty . Recycling bins were overflowing. Trash frequently seen in the water particularly at the entrance by Freedom Boat Club . Washing machines were loaded with pet hair despite signs asking people to clean up machines . Perhaps a separate washing machine for pets would make sense . In general feels like too many boats and not enough help .

Harborage Marina is one of a kind! Excellent service, went above and beyond to make our 58' wheelchair accessible catamaran feel welcome in St Pete.

Marina was able to take our reservation on a short notice.

We came in on a windy afternoon and were directed to our spot on the outer wall. When we requested help docking from the dock master, he replied that he’d have to actually stand up, walk down stairs, get in his golf cart and drive out to where we were attempting to tie up. Luckily, this marina has a few helpful liveaboards who all came out to take our lines. Apparently, no help whatsoever from the dock masters is entirely standard.

Great welcome from harborage staff, quiet environment, very well maintained docks, power and facilities. We will return. Be aware of the nearby Coast Guard newbies, who seemed to deem transient yachts as boarding inspection training ground. They’d be funny if they didn’t grip their side arms while trying to intimidate you.

Very nice marina. Floating docks make it easy to tie up, plenty of room to maneuver in the fairways. Nice showers, laundry and Captain’s Lounge. Second time I’ve stayed here, and I’ll gladly come back.

Excellent experience, had to put in unexpectedly and the process was easy and straightforward. Great service all around.

The office was closed when I arrived so I did not get to interact with the staff in person, however they called to see if I needed anything, or had any questions before arrival. The floating docks are in great shape and fenders are set so there is one less thing to do. The facility has great amenities, and it is a short walk to the downtown St. Petersburg trolly.

Braden was great…provided a lendercord as our one end was faulty; ladies washroom was clean; men’s was not; everyone was friendly; used to live aboard there and will definitely visit again!

The marina is completely first class. Great docks, power, WiFi, restrooms. The only negative is that the marina is quite open to the east, and that is the predominant wind direction. The breakwaters cut out the waves, but there is still a bit of swell that at times causes the boat to rock quite substantially. (This can also be true for other places in St. Pete on the west side of Tampa Bay.)

An amazing marina. We had a boat here when we first moved to the area in 2014. Great to take our catamaran over there for a night after it came out of the boat yard. Thank you to the amazing staff there! Highly recommend!

This is the safest, best and friendliest marina on the West Coast of Florida. The new concrete floating docks and 1000’ break water have been our protection from two hurricanes. Very grateful for Brandon the harbormaster and the amazing staff at Harborage.

I arrived after 5p, and office was closed with no alternative to pick up key. While the hours were probably put on my reservation notice - it wasn't explicitly stated that arriving after 5, and not having a key would prohibit you from using any of the facilities. Fortunately friends there were given two keys, and they loaned me theirs for the showers and restrooms. Also, facilities were very poor. Poll water was HOT, (no chiller to keep pool water usable and refreshing?). Pool shower water was also hot and unpleasant. There was also limited shade and a very small "day room" with a TV. With SO many six and seven figure boats and yachts, was surprised at the poor class of facilities.

We had a great slip on dock MD. It was hot but between the pool and shower I was able to cool down. One thing to remember that you need your marina key to get into everywhere - bathrooms, pool, dock etc.

The equipment and amenities is almost perfect. However. We found it somewhat inconvenient to have only one key for 6 persons which was necessary for several locks. The fuel dock outside of the marina hat not enough draft for our 8ft HallbergRassy

My unsolicited note to the Dock Master just prior to our departure 3/1/23 - “Wow the folks you referred did an incredible job cleaning the boat- your trust in them is well placed sir - we leave in the morning to head South - my appreciation for your and your staffs extraordinary service and attention during our stay is beyond measure- having completed the loop and after spending time in well over 100 marinas I have a unique perspective and can say with experience and conviction that you sir are truly an unrivaled example for exceptional customer care - the marina is WELL kept including the grounds restrooms and Captains Lounge - signage is clear and eliminates confusion including the fuel dock location -your staff is tagging all the right bases including a friendly vocal welcome or good morning every time they are within earshot of a guest which speaks volumes for why your marina is so full - Cheers sir Thank You Andrew - Patrick and Dana Morrison aboard Exhale “ Make this a stop you won’t be disappointed

Great stay! The restrooms and showers were clean, the laundry (4 washers and 4 dryers!) was awesome, and the staff was great. Nice pool, which we didn’t use. There were free donuts and coffee on weekends, and they held a (free) Christmas dinner for their boaters. The marina is very safe with great security. It was a short walk (about .8 miles) to Publix, and just a couple of blocks further to the wonderful downtown area. Beautiful bike paths and lots of things to do. Don’t miss the Dalí and Chihuly museums!

I give the Marina five stars for docs and services but three stars for value for money. Here is why: I understand that transients pay a high fee but ......Unless you are willing to take Uber or walk three plus miles - which is not a big deal in the winter, but in summer, walking this distance is something to think about. With this in mind, pay an extra dollar per foot, and although the municipal marine doc is fixed docs, they are in the middle of everything. Easy to walk to restaurants and museums. We stayed because we had to fuel, and the best fuel price for the most part on the FL west coast is just down the creek from the Marina. Thank you to Harborage Marine for your hospitality, great staff, and well-managed Marina. I think this will be an awesome long-term option!

Had a great stay everybody was very professional.

Great marina close to downtown St Pete. Loved having a pool. Staff was friendly, immediately swapped out the propane tanks on the grills when I found them empty. Big Catch is a great restaurant close by.

Wonderful staff, and amenities.

Location, staff and cleanliness make this marina stand out! Staff is welcoming and willing to help. Bathrooms are spotless and water is always hot. Parks, coffee shops and restaurants are only a short walk away. This marina isn't just a stop over, it's a destination.

Overpriced for what you get. $3.5/ft plus $20 for 50 amp and tax equals $192 a night for a 46 foot boat. Very small pool, grills that are not clean and a boating lounge that is old and stuffed with packages. Breakwater does not stop wave action if east winds are moderate strength. Dock hands turned down our request for line handlers due to lack of staff but when I went to the office there were 2 men sitting at desks and one person in a safe harbor shirt playing on a phone.

Great find! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, beautiful pool, walking distance to all things St. Pete & the pier AND a great dog friendly beach! Definitely will be back.

The marina is 1.2 miles from the Pier & downtown area, so a bit far for those with bad backs to walk. Floating docks are nice. Fuel dock almost a mile from the slips, and very narrow there w/long wait due to in & out volume. Very protected harbor w/sea wall. Andrew helpful and nice. Shawn demeaning to women was my impression from the way he spoke to me when I called for fuel & docking directions. My husband was so agitated that we did not call again for docking assistance after waiting and not getting fuel. I would have been helpful to have, but thankfully a slip holder came & assisted w/lines. Fees $1 less per ft. at Municipal marina which is far better location. We will plan ahead in future to use that marina for convenience to restaurants, provisions & attractions. We use Safe Harbor Marinas frequently.

Facilities excellent, people great, short walk to town.

We had an amazing stay at Safe Harbor – Harborage in March. It’s a very nice marina with clean grounds, very nice pool/grill/tiki area and even an Amazon Locker! The slips are on floating docks with dock boxes which is very nice when traveling with your four-legged kids. They are very pet friendly with water bowls placed around as well as a special area for them to do their business with complementary poo bags and trash can. The staff and Marina Members were very friendly and welcoming. There is a restaurant on the water (Big Catch at Salt Creek) a couple blocks down that is attached to the Harborage Marina. The food was great, including the Yappy Hour menu where the “Hot Diggy Dawg” did not disappoint our pooch! We were walking distance to town, the Dali, and more… We will absolutely be back.

Excellent service and location. Can pump yourself out from vacuum pots on the dock which is very convenient. Staff friendly and cooperative. Neighbors quiet and friendly. The wifi worked but slow at times as expected. Convenient location. More expensive than St Pete Municipal but was worth the price difference.

Great Marina! It is convenient to downtown, nice floating docks, friendly and helpful staff. Clean restrooms and showers. Amazon Locker Pickup Location right at the dock! We'll visit again.

Staff was very helpful; however, they were short staffed and no one was there to help guide us into slip and help with docking. Its a huge marina so its a hike to walk the dogs. But overall, a good marina and the office staff was great.

We had an excellent stay and experience at Safe Harbor Harborage Marina. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. * Floating docks! You really appreciate this after spending time tied up to fixed docks. *Harbor area very well protected by breakwater so water in the dock area is calm. *Fairly close to amenities however next time we will be bringing bikes. *St Pete is worth visiting We will be returning!

We stayed at this marina for a little over a month and had a vey good experience. The staff were super helpful, most everything was in good repair and the marina is well protected from weather. There are a lot of liveaboards in this marina which make for a very nice community. Restaurants are in walking/biking distance if you don't mind walking/biking a mile. St. Pete is a lovely city and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Easily the most protected marina on Tampa Bay. Floating docks, easy access to the Bay, and walking distance to downtown.

Wonderful Experience at the Harborage ! Friendly staff and people on the docks. Nice amenities. Grills, a pool. Boaters enjoying the quiet life. Beautiful location with great water quality...tons of marine life...we even saw a Manatee near J dock. Downtown "Scene", museums, and parks are walkable along the water.

Clean, easy access, well shielded. Staff is very courteous, called the day befor with slip assignment. Needs to post slip map on their website.

Our party spent two nights in a wet slip at Harborage Marina. We stayed mid week so it was quieter and less traffic. (just the way we like it). The floating docks are nice and the restrooms and showers were kept clean. There are plenty of bars and restaurants with in waking distance and much more with a short Uber ride. We will be planning another stay with them in the future.

Excellent facility and good service - weather was cold but that was not your fault. We will come again.

Really an excellent marina! Easy, deep water access with easy docking. All the docks are floating and well maintained. Each dock comes with a dock box. Best of all, it is well protected from swells and wakes so you rarely even feel a ripple. The boating community there is very friendly and open. The staff are readily available and very helpful. Amenities include clean restrooms/showers, inexpensive laundry, fairly good WiFi, mobile pump-out, fuel dock, and a Captain's Den with coffee and widescreen TV. St. Pete is within walking distance, as is the library at USF (with free, VERY fast internet access.) St. Pete is a great city with lots of entertainment, restaurants, shopping, etc., and has an excellent public transit system. And some of the best beaches in Florida are just a few miles away. I think this is the best marina in St. Pete!
