If you are planning your next boating excursion, consider East Greenwich Bay as it has one of the loveliest coastlines on Narragansett Bay.
Located in the center of Rhode Island and covering 16 miles, the town of East Greenwich has a lot to offer visitors. Great eating establishments, fun entertainment and lots of history are among the choices you will have when visiting the East Greenwich Yacht Club. Get a sense of the town's history by taking a tour of the Hill and Harbour District where you will see houses dating back to the early 1600's.
Whether you want to relax on your boat, have a great meal or do a little dancing, East Greenwich is worth a visit!
Extremely Hospitable, great spot, beautiful club, friendly staff
All the staff was very courtesy and friendly. Chris, the Stewart, very helpful and professional. Clean laundry and showers. Easy approachable fuel dock. I would definitely use this facility again.
Wonderful accommodations people yacht club. Well protected in weather.
Good mooring, friendly launch service. However, we were not allowed to buy a drink at the Club bar. The facility is RESTRICTED TO MEMBERS ONLY, guests not allowed. Fortunately a member at the bar told the bartender to put our dinks n his account, and we made a new friend there.
Everyone was very helpful and nice. Bay was well protected and the waters were very calm.
Great facility, well run, close to a wide variety of restaurants.
Requested a mooring via Dockwa, it was accepeted. Upon our arrival they were expecting us, brought us right to our assigned mooring, and waited close by until we were safely moored, Awesome Service!!!
Had a wonderful stay at EGYC. Launch drivers are very friendly, as are members. Launch hours are excellent, 8am-9:30pm on Labor Day weekend. The facility is gorgeous, and it's a perfect location to be a launching point for having fun in this cool town. Shower facilities are top notch. Suggestions: 1) If you request far in advance and are rejected due to lack of space, call or try again closer to your travel dates. These are seasonal moorings and they only become available as transients when members file float plans w/ the dock office - which can obviously be somewhat last minute. 2) It is worth requesting a mooring towards the west side of the channel - the east side is thick with nature and a bit buggy. However, as indicated above, be understanding - you're subject to availability.
EGYC is a great home base Marina, friendly, great bar & food service, many fine restaurants nearby. Launch service to the mooring field is the best. Very nice fuel & pump out, & docks. East Greenwich Cove is well protected.
Great. We try and make it here at least once a year to enjoy the shoreside restaurants
Protected location, friendly launch staff, clean facilities and a quick walk to lots of great restaurants. The music at bar is loud at night, but ear plugs work fine for the noise.
Lovely peaceful harbor! Welcoming yacht club !!
Great spot, nice folks. Good restaurants within steps.
Their mooring field is extremely well protected. We had a drink at their very nice, large bar, right on the water.
Launch service is excellent! Makes getting into town very easy!
This is a beautiful, cozy and quiet location with accommodating staffers.
Other than it being a weekend in mid August (very noisy waterfront bar and restaurant) the yacht club launch and personnel were excellent. The mooring pennant on the other hand was covered with a 2” diameter of barnacles and goo and without a float. It took about 5mins to work our way up to the eye with line and a boat hook. We slipped our own line through the eye and tied off so we wouldn’t have to touch it when we left. Be prepared when picking up a pennant here….
Most unfriendly yacht club I've come across. Parked my car there before arrival (left message and email) and they had it towed. Chris Voccio and his brother seem to run the place for their own benefit. When I contacted them they said I could pay the mooring rate to park my car or have it towed. I emailed I would be back in a COUPLE OF DAYS. They towed it. I can share the email thread if you want Chris.
Friendly and very helpful people. Emasculate facility.
Wished the bar was open and that all workers were sporting masks! Other than that, just fine. Beautiful renovations to the house and decks.
