We spent 20 days at Charleston City Marina after we lost our anchor at the anchorage across from the marina. (Don’t anchor there.) The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are clean and well maintained. The docks are excellent. There is a restaurant on site that has been there since 1963. It serves great food all day at a reasonable price in an informal setting.
There is a daily shuttle to West Marine and the shuttle will take you anywhere in downtown Charleston.
But the best thing about this marina is the staff. They are terrific. They are always ready to help and are very friendly and approachable. We had some bad weather while we were there and the staff was right with us helping to adjust fenders when needed and even loaned us a couple for the duration. We had a staff member helping us at 4:30AM one morning!
It’s Charleston so the dock fees are pretty high. But, you do get a great facility and great staff for your money.
