Feb 2024 - The dockhands were super nice and marina had just what we needed including nice showers, laundry and free courtesy shuttle to and from downtown.
May 2025 - The work they are doing is adding to the amenities and making the marina very nice.
The only issue we have had is around getting pumped-out.
The staff will ask if we will need fuel and/or a pump-out when we arrive and what time we will be there. Even if you say you need a pump-out when you arrive, they won't bother to tell you that pump-out is only in the morning and they won't pump-out after the 1PM MANDATED earliest check in.
Upon arrival, they ask if you need anything. If you respond, "yes, we need a pump-out." they will tell you they will put you on the list for a pump-out first thing in the morning. Both visits, they have NOT put us on the list as promised and we have had to call in the morning asking when we would get pumped-out. only to be told they will add us to the list.
The first time we visited, the staff was telling us they needed us out by 11AM as they had a new boat coming into out slip. We refused to leave until they pumped us out or agree to send the pump-out boat to the anchorage across from the marina and pump us out there. The pump-out boat arrived at noon the first time and just prior to 11AM this time. If the marina wants to enforce the 1PM-11AM stay, they need to accommodate pump-outs during this time period.
The last issue with pump-out is being called the next day after your departure to ask for a $5 credit card payment to cover the pump-out. After paying $220 for a dock spot for the night, you'd expect pump-out to be covered......
