Great place to stay if you want to visit Charleston! Courtesy van runs every hour and will drop you off anywhere in Charleston proper. Every day at 11 am, van makes a run to West Marine across the bridge and picks you up in 75-90 minutes. Plenty of time to get boat supplies and hit the nice grocery store next door. Too tired to walk back to the marina after playing the tourist, call the courtesy van and get picked up. Excellent docking assistance! Great showers and restrooms on floating docks. It was a healthy 758 steps from our boat to the showers, but if you want a golf cart ride, you can call the office and someone will shuttle you. All staff members are friendly and competent! As others have said, it can be bouncy in the marina but it was never really uncomfortable nor unsafe.
