This is a really a nice marina. We have visited numerous times over the last 30 years. It is 10 miles from the nearest town. This was a holiday weekend and they were charging holiday rates and requiring a 2 night minimum stay. This was fine. Also, we are SHM Members just visiting. However, Monday July 3rd, when we walked up for dinner, the restaurant was closed! On normal weeks it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and open only 4 hours on Wednesday and Thursday. This makes sense, since the marina is not within 10 miles of any towns.
However, on a 4 day Holiday Weekend the restaurant should have been open. For those staying in their modest 28 room motel and visiting boaters, there was no alternative food venues, available.
They had an impressive fireworks show from up on their 9 hole golf course.
