Midway Marina & Service

Great help....we needed help and this guy named Tom went out of his way for us Got us fuel, and anything else we needed and even visited our marina to make sure we were OK. I always said, if I need a marina, Tom's place, (A.K.A. Eagles Nest, or Midway Marina)would be the one for me. Not much there except a friendly, smiling face. Which is all that is needed when you are broken down on that section of the Erie canal.

Fuel gauge broke, ran out of fuel. Remembered seeing this marina a little way back and headed for it on my limited reserve (fuel line into the bottom of tank). Sign says, fuel, bait/ tackle, ships store, ice, etc.A couple was mowing grass, otherwise no one around (sunny Wednesday afternoon, early August). No one can find key for pump. No store, no ice, no bait, no anything. Call wife to have her drive to me with gas can. Women at marina says "Oh, we'll drive you to get gas". "You'll have to buy a gas can though because we don't have one". Yeah, right. You're mowing with a lawn tractor but you don't have a can... Marina in name only.
