Boaters Choice 2021

About

Friendfield Marina is one of the safest places on the east coast to keep your boat. Harmony Township Property owners have the opportunity to purchase a boat slip at the marina. The area is known for its world class fishing. Offshore, anglers may catch wahoo, king mackerel, tuna, sailfish, snapper, grouper, spot tails, and many other deep-water species. The Sampit River offers brackish water fishing, too. Anglers report good catches of red drum. There are ample fresh water fishing opportunities in the area for large mouth bass, crappie, catfish, and striper bass. The area has convenient boat access to beaches and all water sports. Since the average annual temperature is 64.1 degrees, you'll find more time than ever to enjoy life on your boat docked safely at Friendfield Marina. The average water depth is 34 feet year-around, what a plus! You're less than 20 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and the Inter-coastal Water way is even closer. So with all of these advantages I give and A+ rating

I'm sorry but as much as I would like to leave a good review I just simply can't their bathrooms is a porta potty their shower is outside in the open which consists of four sheets of fencing in a square to make a shower in 10° weather there is no garbage, their electric box shorted out almost causing fire to my trawler, I was able to have water and electric with no problem, Mike on the other hand, is a long time residence and is very helpful and accommodates the best he can considering they don't pay him to do it as far as safety I felt safe but not a place I would stop at again other than maybe for a daytime visit to visit Mike in my opinion this place has no business on Dockwa it is nothing more than a HOA trying to make some money on some residential docks..

Nice Marina, close to Georgetown, SC. Protected deep water slips on the Sampit River near the head of Winyah Bay. Front street is a short boat ride away with courtesy docks and lots of great restaurants and shops. The area is known for great fishing and crabbing all around. Good place to rest if transiting the ICW. Great place to keep the boat for longer rentals too.

This marina is hurricane secure with floating docks and pilings 20 feet above the deck. Amenities like water are being built out as we speak, recommending this marina for your long-term needs.
