Report Review

Greetings to the Nyack Boat Club from MV Patience. We had the pleasure of an overnight mooring stay back in the fall. Apologies for late review! On the return leg of our Erie Canal adventure, we had hoped our travels would align with an overnight in Nyack and ultimately worked out perfectly. Although after the "season" and relatively quiet, we were made to feel welcome with clear communication regarding accommodations, mooring and launch service by the Commodore himself. Although most like a dock slip, NBC made our mooring work quite well with availability of free launch service that worked perfectly with our schedule. I must note that my last visit to the NBC had been as a 5-6 year old (70 now!) when my sister and I sailed a Lightening Class sailboat (#8228) with our Dad out on the Hudson. Our Grandfather, a past Commodore , and our Grandmother being represented by a memorial trophy to this day. That being said, I must say that they would be proud to see what the Club has become, while retaining a real "peoples club" feel. As transients, we were as welcome as club members could be, having the run of the place. Great showers below and quaint rockers on the grand porch above. Getting into town was but a few block walk into a variety of dining and provisioning options. Many thanks to the Commodore and good folks at NBC, we hope to drop in again next year! MV Patience
